Mini Album

My very first toilet paper mini album...now I have seen them all over the net and decided I would give it a try! I watched a couple video tutorials, haha there are tons of then and each one is just a bit different...so I picked a couple of my favorite things and just combined them to make this cute mini!

When I was searching tutorials I saw so many different ways to bind a mini...I wasn't sure which way would look better. I loved the idea of adding tabs on the end it gives it a nice finished look and seemed to help keep the rolls flat ( I just punched hols in the end and tied them with twin which just happen to match my album perfectly!)
I used some Tim Holtz Idea-ology Wallflower papers  its the first time I've used his papers....the whole album only used 1 1/2 sheets of 12x12 paper (from the back of the pack they were a 6x6 design)
each tube /page has a tag that pulls out the end and every other page has a double tag/matte that also pulls out,I used those as extra pages...half goes in the tube and the other half folds over
the album has minimal embellishments since I really wasn't sure what I was going to do with it just yet or who I was giving it to yet...I figure who ever gets it will want to be able to customize it for themselves.

a few velum stickers and lace trimmings make it easy to match other embellishments ...

thank you so much for taking the time to check out my latest project!

  3. This is such a pretty little album. I'm curious how you flattened the tubes. I've wanted to try this, but the tubes just do not cooperate and stay flat at all.

    1. I had trouble at first too...this may sound weird but I smushed it first then use my bone folder...after I put the semi flattened rolls under a couple of heavy books, that seemed to do the trick...after I painted and added my pattern papers I put them back under the books (after they were dry of course) just to make sure they stayed flat! I hope that helps!

    2. try spritzing with water and ironing or rolling TP rolls through a Big Shot

    3. if you do iron your TP rolls flat sandwich the rolls between a foled sheet of paper to keep glue off your iron ... Happy Crafting ....Absolutely love the album and the great inspiration it gives out.
