I hope you get your dreams

Scrap and Music have their new challenge up and since I really didn't feel like cleaning I thought I would tackle that! I found this really cute picture of my oldest and nephew they are the same age....they are only two weeks apart....I used I hope you get your dreams as the title!

Here is what I came up with.....the song this time is Put Your Records On (Corinne Bailey Rae)

I really stuck close to the sketch this time...well except for the amount of pictures LOL

thanks for coming to take a peek!

It's Monday

Yes its Monday and the fifth Monday of the month....the New challenge over at Lets Get Sketchy is any thing goes! As part of the design team it wasn't mandatory for us to do inspiration for this challenge but I thought what the heck...I used a sketch from the summer challenge over at The Memory Nest and the theme from lasting Memories which happens to be Christmas in July....

here is what I came up with.......

the twist on the sketch is to use buttons and/or brads...I used plenty of buttons

thanks for taking a peek...Hope everyone has a wonderful Monday!

Face of a angel

yeah I know I just posted but I have one more to share...and I think I like this one much better...as you can see I have an awful time with color challenges but I try to get it as close as I can LOL I used the other sketch from The Memory Nest...all part of their summer challenges....I am also going to participate in the Scrap Your Story DIY challenge...I made the cute flower by hand :)

handmade flower...the title says Face of a Angel....you can't really read it in the pictures no matter how many times I took it LOL
Can you tell I really love my new silhouette cameo...because I really do!
Thanks for coming to take a peek......

Say Cheese..

I found these wallet size photo's in with all the rest and decided I wanted to use them...I have the 8x10's on the wall but they were too cute not to make a page with..they are 20 years old..haha you know the first born had a whole lot more photos done,I swear I had them done every month until she was three...I used the sketch from The Memory Nest for one their summer challenges.

Live in Bliss-tags challenge

I don't normally post stuff I make for Flying Unicorn here on my blog (I have no idea why) But I really wanted to share this cute tag I made for one of their challenges. The challenge is to make a paper tag-Let me be more clear, you have to create a tag with only one sheet of paper. You cut and decorate your tag with the same sheet of paper a little fussy cutting, a butterfly, lace and of course background texture.

this is the paper I used....

then I went back to bed LOL
Anyway here is what I came up with....

a little bit of silhouette cutting, some texture paste and stencils, some pretty papers and lace...I love the papers from Websters

Relax- 80's Neon

after I read the drill for 80's Neon over at S.W.A.T. {scrap warriors advanced training} all I could think of was the word RELAX LOL yes I so remember the 80's....the school dances dressing up as Madonna Oh My gosh...I kind of miss those days ...so I just had to participate in this drill..I made a neon green chevron card...

sorry the pictures are quite dark and the orange is really bright LOL I just happened to have a wrist band from other day (went to the wildlife park) that was just perfect background for the lettering!

I Adore "Days like this"

Good afternoon scrappy people.....yes I am quite the good mood today I have no clue why..lol I just wanted to share  a page I did this morning...I used a sketch from Keeping the best and used A2Z scraplets challenge criteria and came up with this....

I took some plain card stock and used texture paste and ink to create my own background....I am really kind of thrilled with how it came out..

Love the texture...but I might use different colors next time!

Best Birthday Ever

another Monday and another new sketch over at Lets Get Sketchy....even though its not my week I still decided to play along...
I used pictures from one of Samantha's Birthdays...this one sticks out in my mind because she so wanted a Lion King birthday cake and I couldn't find anyone who would make one at the time...So I took it upon myself to make one haha I went to bed crying the night before her Birthday party because the frosting was So darn orange when it was suppose to be yellow.....I guess the coloring needed to settle because when I woke up it was perfect! well as perfect as I was going to make it anyway!
I combined the sketch with two other challenges this week...the first one is Lasting Memories - their challenge was to use birds or bees in your project! And the other is The Paper girls - their challenge is to use water colors.

I used water colors for the background and there are bird cut outs on the balloons

His Mini Me

Oh I love that title because it sure fits my bother and his sons...they both take after him so much and at every age they look just like he did...anyway I chose this picture of my bother and his youngest son Hunter from one of our many family BBQ's...I chose it to go along with the great outdoor theme over at Frosted Designs
but that was as far as I had gotten until this morning when I saw the post over at S.W.A.T.  (scrap warriors advanced training) their sketch is awesome and it just flowed after that...Oh Oh the twist is you have to use only pattern paper NO card stock! so I combined the outdoor theme with the sketch and here is what I came up with....

I figured between the photo and the butterflies, wood pattern and flowers it was outdoors enough LOL I used mostly scraps I had in mu bin

I have to say I am really loving my Silhouette Cameo and I thank my husband everyday! :D

Too Cool

New challenge over at that's just so cute

Use white cardstock to background, not patterned! The reason you make yourself, with stamps, drop, paint, stencils, etc.No pattern papers lace or flowers allowed!

well I didn't use any pattern paper or lace or even flowers..the lace was the  hard part for me lol....I did use a pit of colored card stock,a bit of mist and a stencil a heart bag and made a tag out of card stock for my journaling (which is in the bag)....this is what I came up with..

thanks for coming to take a peek!
