So Cute!

I wanted to share a layout I've been working on....this one brought back some really wonderful memories..when the girls were little I loved to dress them up in the cutest little dresses but neither one was very lady like LOL

this layout is quite girly but I love it!

 

 I used lots of lace and stitching....some homemade flowers and new ones I won...

 the chip board was one piece but I just didn't like the way it looked together so I cut it into two separate pieces

 I love my Prima butterflies and the crochet flowers from petaloo...
this layout happens to fall into a couple challenge criteria...one is Zeus and Zoe's mood board,I just couldn't resist using it! then Scrap Africa for the use of chip board and then there is Get Creative  a layout with lots of flowers....

I thought I would share my latest layout....I am linking up with a challenge on the flying unicorn forum called Glitter it...and Zeus and Zoe for their mood board and I used a sketch from C'est Magnifique Kits

 I swear everything is straight...I just have a really crooked eye taking pictures LMAO

 I was so excited yesterday...I got crafty (Happy) mail....and all these flowers and the heart chippies and the pretty wooden tag were all from the same RAK

My little Memories

So I decided to do something a bit different, I thought long and hard about Zues and Zoe's challenge this month "The challenge this month is to create and journal a project about "life as it is now," the subject being "you as an individual."  This challenge is open to interpretation and you can add as much detail as you wish, and share whatever you wish to share about yourself. Hidden journaling for personal information is fine. There is one additional requirement for the challenge, and that is to incorporate the use of buttons into your creation." so I really wanted to do something about me and for me....does that make sense? good....I took Zues and Zoe's challenge and combined it with Lessology-"Are you a Cover girl [or boy]? Because we want to see you get creative with covers this month! It could be the cover of a box, the cover of a jar, the cover of a book....lots of possibilities for LESSology "
Now that that's out of the way....I am sort of a keeper...I keep little things that mean something to me, I have old movie stubs,notes,odd pictures ,my grandmothers cameo and even rocks....I have always called them my little memories,my girls used to love to dig through my drawer where I kept them and I would then tell them stories about each thing.  I had stopped collecting thing for myself after I had my first daughter I don't think it was a conscious thing I just didn't have a whole lot of time,I still kept memento's of my children but thats a whole other thing LOL..... I've noticed over the last couple of months that I've collected a few more but really had no place to put them.....so that leads to this project...

I took an old gift box my fiance got from his company for Christmas (don't even ask why I saved it because I have no clue) and decided to make a memory box where I can put all my little memories and leave it right on my dresser!

 I used Graphic 45 papers which I had to keep hidden from my daughter or she would take them...

 I love these buttons....we found them at the thrift store a whole jar full for like $2 and they had some really nice ones(that I had to share with my daughter Sam)

 I made a pocket for a tag I made with a picture of myself and on the back of the card is a bit of journaling about my little memories, I might add more later about what I put in the box.

Evening scrappers.....I wanted to share a layout I did today all the papers I used are from quick quotes. I used a a wonderful picture of Stephanie....shes pouting because my girl friend Ginny kept tell her to smile so she could take more pictures lol they were at the lake for one of the boys birthday parties....she looks like a drowned rat~
 I used the sketch from Lets Get Sketchy and I am also linking up with Zeus and Zoe for their February LOVE challenge...

I really need to learn how to take a straight picture.....

 I love the pieces that were included the this kit...I didn't want to hit the saying under the picture so I cut some of it out to make it overlap :)

Time heals

I was inspired by Marivic over at Berry71bleu to try something a bit different,well different for me anyway...Berry71Bleu is having a challenge called Create Me.

This challenge is no-holds-barred...talk about your new year's resolution, your dreams, your childhood, your best and worst moments, what makes you laugh, cry, mad...what makes you feel beautiful...your best physical feature, what you wish you can change about yourself...your pet peeves, your frustrations, your favorite food, color...maybe a secret? whatever you want to talk about as long as it's all about you.

So I made  mini kind of inspirational/memorial ...lol not sure what you would call it but basically its a mini with quotes or just saying that fit me or what I am feeling right now and where I would like to be this year.

its called time heals....that's my word for the year Heal!

 Oh I forgot to post the theme from Beryy71bleu...

I used the colors and the lace as inspiration and made sure it was about me..

I used what ever struck me at the time....

 so some of the pages are a bit different

 but that says a whole lot about me...lol
