Just a lil something

Hi My Crafty friends.....as most of you already know I haven't been as active lately that is mostly due to the flu I have been battling since new years eve...it seems like every time I start to feel better it comes back with a worse then before...but good news I am on the mend for real LOL I was told to just take it easy..so that's what I've been doing...I did manage to get some crafty things done...like my Dt work and a couple card swaps and I think maybe a challenge or two (which is a whole lot less then I normally do)

I managed to make these two cute cards today so I thought I would share them..let me know what you all think!
If I haven't said it before I will now I love my Silhouette Portrait!

So Cute Surprise challenge

That's just so cute first surprise challenge of the year-Be inspired bye the song "little bird"- I wasn't really sure my translation of the song was correct or not so I made a card with a bird.. I hope that's okay.

Lets get Sketchy DT Reveal

Where did the weekend go..it just seemed to fly by..anyway its Monday and that means a new Sketch over at Lets Get Sketchy...here is my take on the sketch.
I used this lovely picture of my Nephew Johnny and his new beautiful bride Stephanie, they had the cutest little country wedding this past summer...it was such a sweet event!

Believe in yourself

Good evening my scrappy friends, I thought I would share my latest layout...since I haven't been feeling very well lately this layout took me two days to finish lol I had this idea in my head but I just couldn't get what I wanted on the paper..finally it was to my liking..I decided to combine two challenges,the one from Once Upon a sketch with the journaling criteria of " lesson learned" and then the challenge over at ARTastic extra criteria use of diamonds/triangles.....

I like to keep my journaling personal so I will give you the edited version of the journaling.......there is hidden journaling behind the picture,I decided to journal about my daughter learning to believe in herself and her craft..she knows its okay to be different and she doesn't have to follow the norm...this past year she has taken up commission work on her sewing..she stuck to her gun and her style and this year paid off! haha now she has three costumes (3 different people) due in three months all for the same Convention.

 I was inspired by the eyes of the artwork...that's why I chose this picture of my daughter and of course all the diamonds!

My Best Friends ~New Sketch at LGS

Good afternoon my scrappy friends , It Monday and that means a new sketch over at Lets Get Sketchy! Even though its not my week I knew as soon as I saw the sketch that I would be playing along!

 this was the perfect sketch for my pictures of my best friend..sssshhh shes probably gonna kill me she hates having her picture taken LOL and I actually used my photo to take these when we went to visit last October..she had no clue I took them.she thought I was playing angry birds LOL

On a side note thank you all for the get well wishes...I promise I am getting better its just a really bad cold and it seems to be kicking my butt! I totally forgot it was Monday...I've been fighting off this cold since New years eve..just as I was getting better my daughter got  it and passed it right back ..this time its ten times worse...I even lost my voice this afternoon but at least I got caught up on some much needed sleep  LOL

OMG-Blue fern studio's sketch challenge

Good morning Scrappers...First let me say I Love Love the urban acronyms from Blue Fern Studios, they just work so well with my daughters funky style LOL I think you get like eight in a package.. anyway I used the sketch from  Blue Fern Studios  and some of my new washi tape I received from Christmas

the OMG are the innards from another speech bubble but I just couldn't waste it..I used holographic embossing powder on it to give it a little something special.

I used these dangle hearts that have been just sitting in my stash...you don't really see them in the picture but they look pretty cool in RL ...
