Tea lights

I saw this tutorial on how to make these cute little tea lights...they are the perfect size for the batter operated kind (so my kitty doesn't burn her whiskers and I don't burn my house down lol) I thought they made the perfect Christmas decoration....I am entering this into the last challenge over at That's just so cute...I am so sorry this will be their last challenge, I have enjoyed playing along with them for awhile now!

I've made a couple different ones but I think I like this one the best!

Easel card with drawer

Something new...I've made a few easel cards..haha I'm not great ad it but I thought I would try to make one with a drawer for the challenge over at That's just so cute....

Happiness

Good morning my scrappy friends.. I thought I would share a layout I made for That's just so cute.. I hope I got everything right because the translation seemed a bit off.... I used this wonderful picture of my oldest (when she was 4) she loved the Easter bunny...

Now I would like to share a couple other projects that I've done this past week...
first off is this lovely card I made...I wanted to try a new technique I saw on youtube...

 then I thought I would try my had at another mixed media mini canvas..I think I will keep this one for myself!

and last is a circle layout I made for a challenge over on the flying unicorn forum...this turned out quite well..

So Cute Surprise challenge

That's just so cute first surprise challenge of the year-Be inspired bye the song "little bird"- I wasn't really sure my translation of the song was correct or not so I made a card with a bird.. I hope that's okay.

color challenge

I've been neglecting my blog lately...sorry scrappers....but I have been pretty busy crafting just not posting LOL
I wanted to share a small project I did for the color challenge over at That's just so cute..I decided to fo a festive tag..

I used the blues and the dark grey...plus the red

My Guy

So I saw an interesting challenge over at the That's just so cute blog...they wanted to see some imaginative backgrounds.....Be creative use something other than a pattern paper or card stock. ...of course your allowed to use cardboard as a base, but then you have to cover the whole thing with something other than scrap stuff before scrapping it

I thought about this some...at first I was going to reuse a shipping envelope...you know the ones with the bubble wrap inside ...well that didn't wok out so well...the paint wouldn't stick to it and either would the texture paste LOL so I went with plan B... I tend to reuse lots of things in my crafting so I have a pile of shipping box's and a stack of brown paper bags...So I put them to good use...I cut a 12x12 piece of cardboard then tore up the brown paper bag and adhered it to the cardboard to create my background...I used some ink around the edge to make it look aged and used some texture paste...I used some heart doilies I had gotten at the thrift store and a page from an old book...the only card stock I used was to Matte my picture and cut my tile...ok enough babbling here is what I made....

catching up after Vacation

I just realized I never posted before I went away last week...how sad is that....anyway I went on a little trip to New Hampshire and Maine, we had a fabulous time other then the 22 hr car ride! I spent a full week away from home and all my crafty things...I think I went through withdraws LOL

here is the view from my best friends living room window: so happy I didn't miss all the fall colors!

Now onto a couple projects.....the first is a card for that's just so cute  Be inspired bye the word;

I used watercolors to create the background for my card....I love how this turned out and plan on making another one...maybe change the colors a bit!

this one is a wall hanging I made for a challenge in a FB group I belong to....

my first attempt at doing origami butterflies...they look cool up close but the colors blend too much from far away!

and finally the dressform/dress I made for the flying Unicorn challenge

Happy Halloween

I just finished making the cutest card for the challenge over  That's just so cute color challenge # 34....the new papers from Authentique were just perfect! I used my silhouette portrait to cut the spider and web...

I have the black,all the shades of grey and for the yellowish orange I used liquid pearls!

My Peaceful Place

Just wanted to share a page I made for That's just so cute, their  latest challenge is to be inspired by a tree in whatever way you want.
I've had these cute papers and stickers from My little shoe box that just seemed perfect for this layout!

Lovely

I made this layout for the color challenge over at that's just so cute, you only had to use three of the four colors but I managed to use them all...I ended up using gold glitter glue in the background...it looks like sand in the pictures but looks really cool when the light hits it!

Your one of a kind - tag

I make this super cute tag for the challenge over at that's just so cute...the challenge was to use textile..I used some of left over denim I had from when I covered my art journal

 I used a thick layer of gesso which I just added with my finger,I thought I would get a bit messy ....then I used a plan stamp to stamp into the gesso...I used a couple different quick dry chalk inka nd a sprits of water (I should of paid a little bit more attention to the placement because you can only see bits of it in the pictures....but it has a really cool effect)

 I added the denim hearts and sewed them in place

let the sunshine

I made this layout for the challenge over at That's just so cute...this time its a color challenge which as most of you know I have a really hard time with LOL

 I used a picture from the garden...I love flowers and it just happened to be one of the sunniest days we have had here!

I used the top four colors on the layout and the fifth color is actually the color of the flowers...I'm not sure if you can really tell from the pictures.

Too Cool

New challenge over at that's just so cute

Use white cardstock to background, not patterned! The reason you make yourself, with stamps, drop, paint, stencils, etc.No pattern papers lace or flowers allowed!

well I didn't use any pattern paper or lace or even flowers..the lace was the  hard part for me lol....I did use a pit of colored card stock,a bit of mist and a stencil a heart bag and made a tag out of card stock for my journaling (which is in the bag)....this is what I came up with..

Forever and Always

As some of you know I was very excited yesterday...I was waiting on the UPS man to deliver a surprise from my new husband (yes we just got married on July 3rd)....he tortured me all weekend and wouldn't tell me what it was....to make matter worse it was suppose to be delivered on Friday but there was an address error...So I did what I do best I pestered him all weekend,but he never broke..haha....Anyway it finally showed up yesterday afternoon....I have no idea what possessed him to buy it but I definitely won't question it....He went out and bought be a Silhouette Portrait! *does the happy dance* now I just need to learn how to use the darn thing!

So back tot he real reason for this post....I made a layout for that's just so cute wedding/love challenge...yes I used my new toy...I have to practice =D here is what I came up with....

 I had a bit of an issue with placement/adhering ....I wasn't really sure what type of adhesive to use especially on the title it was so thin..LOL

Time of my life

I couldn't resist playing along with the challenge over at that's just so cute..... challenge you to make something that you use max 1 hour! /Make whatever you want, but you have no more than 1 hour!

Just the way you are...

I have been dying to use this picture of my oldest daughter Samantha (much to her dismay lol), it was taken years ago...I love the colors and just the look on her face...yeah I know she's a bit different but I love her all the more because of it!
So I am using the challenge over at That's just so cute......The challenge this time is to "finish the page" I really like this idea and this is what I came up with....

Set you Free!

I decided to scrap a couple more pictures from the Balloon release we had for in honor of my Daughter back in Nov. I still have a hard time even looking at these pictures but it seems the more I scrap them the more of the happier memories come through!
I am playing along with That's just so cute its my first time playing with them!
