It's time to share another project for scrapasalotllc.com, this time I got to try my hand at some foiling and man, oh man it was fun...they made it super simple to foil using Gina K foil mates ...I used the star and striped pack...the stars seemed to go with my crafty theme and too bad the photo doesn't show how shiny and pretty this card really is...
I used some Photoplay ephemera and some Springfield sequins from Catherine pooler to complete this card!
super quick and super simple!

Hello Friend
Good day my crafty friends, today I wanted to share a card I designed for Scrapsalotllc.com I used this awesome Waffle flower stamp set called peony dreams ...now I did post a photo of the whole set, and it's beautiful but I decided to only use a partial leaf and the butterfly/moth for my card...I kind of wanted it to feel open and airy!
I used vera mark and white heat embossed my images, colored them with Prismacolor pencils then masked them off so I could do a bit of ink blending in the background. for that, I used painters tape to mask off my images and ink oxides for my blending inks...a blending brush works well for this....I can keep it nice and light but well blended. I matted my panel with black than white to make it really pop added that to a standard 5.5 and 4.25 card panel, I used a piece of the honey bee stamps over the rainbow pattern paper pack...it matched my greens nicely...I added a simple sentiment which is also from the same stamp set...I used Catherine Pooler ink...popped it up on some dimensional foam and we're done!

Cosplay-More Than Words Challenge
This Month's challenge at More than Words made me laugh because as soon as I read the word Costume my daughter came to mind, she's really into cosplay...she designs and make all of her own costumes and in the last couple of years she's done commissions to make other peoples costumes which I think is super cool of course I'm her mother so I think she's super talented LOL So that's how I used the word costume...I used this awesome photo of my daughter in one of her costumes...the black background(since I wanted this done in my journal) I used textured black cardstock and adhered it right onto my journal page!
Distress oxide inks, sprays and Nuvo glimmer paste, Radiant stencil all came from the Scrapslot shop
all in all, I am super happy with how this turned out, I love the splatters and the colors...
to start my background I used gesso on top of the black, then some texture paste and mandala stencil on top of that I decided on another stencil called Radiant with some Nuvo glimmer paste (Tanzanite Lavender) I let that dry a bit haha coffee break...I pulled out both my distress oxide spray and ink in peacock feather I'm pretty sure that my favorite color in oxides!
Word Inspiration - COSTUME
Creative Challenge - BLACK BACKGROUND
Now comes the hard part for me...I really suck at the layering...this one was as hard as I thought it would be but I kind of planned everything around the photo and matched the pattern paper under it LOLCreative Challenge - BLACK BACKGROUND
