This Month's challenge at
More than Words made me laugh because as soon as I read the word Costume my daughter came to mind, she's really into cosplay...she designs and make all of her own costumes and in the last couple of years she's done commissions to make other peoples costumes which I think is super cool of course I'm her mother so I think she's super talented LOL So that's how I used the word costume...I used this awesome photo of my daughter in one of her costumes...the black background(since I wanted this done in my journal) I used textured black cardstock and adhered it right onto my journal page!
to start my background I used gesso on top of the black, then some texture paste and mandala stencil on top of that I decided on another stencil called Radiant with some Nuvo glimmer paste (Tanzanite Lavender) I let that dry a bit haha coffee break...I pulled out both my distress oxide spray and ink in peacock feather I'm pretty sure that my favorite color in oxides!

Now comes the hard part for me...I really suck at the layering...this one was as hard as I thought it would be but I kind of planned everything around the photo and matched the pattern paper under it LOL
Distress oxide inks, sprays and Nuvo glimmer paste, Radiant stencil all came from the Scrapslot shop
all in all, I am super happy with how this turned out, I love the splatters and the colors...
