The Zombies are coming!

I have been wanted to tackle the sketch from Scrapfriends but I just couldn't fin the inspiration...no matter what pictures I picked or the papers it just wouldn't fit together...until today..hehe I used the pictures from the Zombie walk my daughter and her friends did just before Halloween for charity..

Just wanted to share a couple projects... One is a layout I did for the challenge over at Scrap Friends...their sketch was all kinds of awesome and it was great to get a bit messy...

 I managed to get a couple projects done today....since I didn't really do much this weekend..I  just had a lazy weekend!

Gossiping

afternoon my scrappy friends... I have to say I used to love my Polaroid camera....I got it just before my Sam was born that was 21 years ago...I couldn't even tell you where it ended up but I still have quite a few of the pictures left....like this one its me and my grandmother the morning after I got out of the hospital after having Sam...we had only just moved in this apartment...it was on the third floor but it was so big...haha bigger then some of the houses I've lived in. anyway while I was in the hospital my family showed up (they all lived out of state) and unpacked my new apartment and set up the nursery.... it was a wonderful surprise! its funny I looked at the picture and I could remember sitting with her and gossiping about what was going on with other relatives since I hadn't seen them in person since the holidays (Sam was born in July).....Anyway I used the sketch from Scrap Friends and there is a ton of journaling on the back!

Simply Life

Hi All,I just wanted to share a layout.....This was one of my favorite places when we still lived in Maine,they called it number one pond...haha what kind of name is that for a lake.This was the perfect place to take a walk or just hang out,they hold all the events here like fireworks, the parades,boat shows.... it was always just the perfect spot!
Anyway I used the sketch from Scrapfriends.....

"Cutie" the kitty

I just wanted to share a layout....this is my Cutie....and of course he is in a box....he was always getting in to boxes and bags....we let him have them as long as we could but he always managed to destroy them and then would literally cry when we took them away! but yet he never slept in the cat bed we bought LOL
I used the sketch from Scrap Friends and the color palette from CSI-color stories inspiration

Here is what I came up with....

 sorry about the photo....it was really cloudy and just didn't want to come out clear no matter how many times I took it ... I took like 30 pictures just to use three! LOL

Testimony: Used hidden journaling just under the two black tabs...I wrote how cutie always found his way into bags and boxes..they became like a new home and he would cry when we got rid of them.(more detailed but you get the gist)

I figured since its snowing yet again that I wanted to scrap something from summer time...makes sense right?Digging through my stack of pictures I came across one of my Stephanie and my girl friends youngest Keagen oh my gosh they are little in this picture....we spent so many days at the lake...those defiantly made for some great memories! I used a sketch from Scrap friends so I'm linking up with them...also with Chic tags and Paper Haus Magazine

I used pastels because they remind me of spring and summer....I had all these bits and pieces in my stash...

My first attempt at scrapbooking

Over at scrapfriends they wanted a look at your first scrappy page, that's pretty easy for me since I've only been doing this since November.... This was my fist attempt at scrapbooking

My daughter Stephanie and her two best friends Alex and Keagen,these are the last pictures of Stephanie, she's the whole reason I started scrapbooking....I started with these pictures because I always wanted to remember that smile on her face,her giggles as she eggs them on. Its been an amazing way to remember her,also a great distraction/copping mechanism...So this was my first page,I think I've come a long way in the last couple of months even learned a trick or two....I've decided to make an album for her grandparents for theirs I started with baby pictures and hit some big moments its more of an overview I guess but I know they will enjoy it....Her grandmother has seen my pages since we email constantly but she has no clue I am making one for her........ I even ventured to make an album for my best friend (who's kids are in this page) since she has three boys and three dogs it makes for some great practice LOL

Friends Forever

So this is a bit different and not everyone's style...lol well I really don't have a style at this point. I saw this sketch over at ScrapFriends for their January challenge and thought Oh I have to try that! so I did LOL

Its more like a yearbook which I thought was pretty cool since she was just a teen anyway and I really though Alex would think it was cool when I get a chance to show him. Alex was Stephanie's best friend...they've know each other since they were two and He has been devastated by her passing as we all were, our families are really close....

some of you may notice I 've done a LO with these pictures before,just to let you know I am making two albums of Stephanie one for me personally and one for her Grandparents so that's why....

I tried to stick close to the sketch.....

 I had a good time with all the scribbles...those stars are from the cut out corners.

 the two butterflies are actually hidden journal tags, I am big on the journaling but I like to keep it private for the most part.
