Day 29 Coloring challenge

I can't believe I made it 29 days...woohoo...just one more to go... #thedailymarker30daychallenge

I did learn a lot about my markers and colored pencils...that was the whole point in taking the challenge at least for me. I still have wicked issues blending but I guess that will come with time, I learned to mix my markers and pencils, that looks really cool and it helps with all the in-between colors that I'm missing. I find that I'm more relaxed after my time coloring which is awesome! I truly think it will be better after I get my new glasses because right now I spend more time taking them off and on than I do coloring LOL

so here is what I worked on today...both are still a work in progress...

New Archi-Scraps challenge

a cool new challenge for March is up over at the Archiscrap blog...

I was super excited for this challenge...the idea of trying to replicate stain glass using paper was such a cool idea. I used my silhouette portrait to create and cut out the bird and cells...I placed it on a piece of vellum and colored the back with markers! I was thrilled with the end results I hope you'll stop by Archiscraps and play along with us!

Day 6 coloring challenge

This is the first time I'm doing the 30 day color challenge and of course I am joining late lol  even though I have colored everyday...I was very lucky my Husband got me some alcohol markers and colored pencils for Christmas and I've been playing with them a lot still haven't gotten the hang of them but its still fun...

Goals for the new year

I've never been one to make new years resolutions or set any goals in a long time...maybe because I could never keep them but I used to think that the new year brought a new start...like a clean slate...the last few years I haven't even acknowledged the new year or the other holidays for that matter...yeah you say Happy Holidays or whatever but in my own home we didn't decorate or anything...until this year...for some reason my eyes opened and said enough was enough..okay I know this doesn't make a whole lot of sense to anyone reading but it does to me and my family..

so when I saw the new challenge over at More than words I knew I had to play along.

 What does the word GOALS inspire me to create? I decided on a journal page (actually it's going to be my cover for my new journal its just not attached yet) I decided to use Goal in a quote on my page but also I kind of printed out my goals for this year and the main one is to Let it go ...basically it means to let go of the angry, pain, grief, guilt....I thought I had to hang on to all those things in order to keep the memories I didn't want to lose those...they are very precious. but in keeping all those bad things I just ended up isolating and closing myself off well NO more! A new year is a New start!

I BELIEVE

I believe in a whole lot of things...like the good in people and that time heals...I believe my daughter can do/be anything her heart desires... I believe in love at first sight...I believe there is no right or wrong in art...I believe my dog understands me LOL the list goes on and on but when I saw the new challenge over at more than words My first thought was I believe in the magic of Christmas! Its not about gifts its about the feeling I get...no matter how down and gloomy I am the lights and smells..the smiles the Christmas carols always bring a smile to my face... my husband tells me I am worse than any kid he's ever met at Christmas time...if we go out at night my face is plastered to the window looking for lights (I even make him pull over for those special houses lol)

I wanted to document our first Christmas in our new home December makes it 6 months in the new house and I can not tell you the changes this move has made for us, a lot of them were very eye-opening and very much needed! We are both happier and more in sync with each other...anyway this is our little tree...It's small but very cute...on the plus side, the cat hasn't tried to knock it down yet LOL Make sure you stop over at More than words blog and play along!

Christmas Challenge

This month at Archi-scraps the challenge is anything Christmas! I decided to create a pretty christmascard....I'm not sure about you but I have almost all of mine made that includes the 50 my daughter came by and picked up to send to her friends! 😲
