Archiscraps April challenge

The APRIL challenge at Archiscraps is to be inspired by Ancient Egypt. when I first saw this challenge I thought easy peasy LOL I was wrong I had no ideas it took me a while...I went through my crafty supplies and NOTHING jumped out at me...so I thought hieroglyphics would be cool...thus my card was born, honestly, I really love how it turned out...I just had to shut my brain off and let it happen!

 challenge at Archiscraps
Think of all things about Egypt: Mummies, hieroglyphics, archaeologists, the Nile, the pyramids, the Sphinx, cats, scarab beetles and others.

You can do a layout, card, bookmark, tag, off the page item, so long as it is paper!
Don't forget to explain the connection.

I hope you stop by the blog and check out the rest of the design team's inspiration and then play along!

Stay Safe and Healthy!

July Challenge

I am so honored to be apart of the design Team over at Archi-Scraps ....

here is my first project...

here is the inspiration photo.....they also want you to use either gesso or texture paste to create a stucco effect (think rough sides of buildings.) It doesn't have to be on the whole card or layout, a featured area will do

Muse Challenge #161

I love the look of the inlaid die technique that Anita used for this weeks Muse Challenge. I don't own many dies but I thought this leafy one would look good.

Muse Challenge #125

I am playing along this week with Muse Card club... I loved Anita's card, the flower stamp is just so darn cute....its pretty obvious I took inspiration from her whole card....I truly didn't realize how close they were until I was making this post :( I'm suppose to take inspiration from the card not copy it!
But I really liked it...I just added more color and different flowers!

Artastic July

I just wanted to share a quick card I made for the ARTastic challenge CRITERIA is to use water (liquid) in some way on your project...
I decided to create my card background using watercolors...I really love the colors in the painting so I tried to recreate them...it really didn't have the effect I saw in my head but it worked for a bit of a gloomy background so all wasn't lost!
I took inspiration from the umbrellas and the colors of the  painting!

thanks for coming to take a peek!
