Busy Bee..

I've been such a busy bee the last couple of days...nothing to exciting just crafty stuff. I wasn't really in the mood for the holidays,I didn't even decorate which for me is a big thing I normally decorate for every holiday doesn't matter big or small. things have happened in the last couple months that I am surprised I'm not a sniveling pile of goo.....anyway on to the good news, I follow a ton of blogs and love to read and see what other people create, as you know Christmas is right around the corner so most of the blogs are filled with cards and all sorts of wonderful decorations! Oh and lets not for get all the contests! I think I have become addicted to the contests....So I decided to try my hand at card making (even though I like scrapbooking) I found that I'm not very good at it lol but my friends and close family will really love them since they are made with LOVE!
so here is a card I made just for the sake of making one and I wanted to see if I could get the deer the way I wanted it...I got the image from Birds cards along with the sentiment, she has tons of files all sorts of goodies anyway I found the deer in her cut files well I don't have a machine for cutting or anything fancy so this is what I did with it!

I enetered this card in the 50 shades of grey challenge over at paper issues and I am also entering it in the 12 days of Christmas challenge over at Frosted Designs for their day five which you had to use "five gold things on your project!   (Both gold and yellow are acceptable for this challenge.)   You can use five different yellow/gold papers, or five gold brads, or five yellow buttons, and mix and match items" I used gold glitter and four gold brads *cheesy smile*

Now onto a special project that I am doing for my fabulous daughter Sam....as you know I started scrapbooking because I wanted to make a special memorial book for my youngest daughter Stephanie, well Sam has helped with that then she request that I make her a special book just for her cosplay pictures. For those who don't know what that means(Cosplay short for "costume play", is a type of performance art in which participants wear costumes and accessories to represent a specific character or idea. Cosplayers often interact to create a subculture centered on role play. A broader use of the term "cosplay" applies to any costumed role play in venues apart from the stage, regardless of the cultural context.) so I started making a mini album of sorts....I made the covers but never really stated any pages which is what she wanted...pages... so she picked out the first picture which happens to be a character I know Mama Toad (photo taken by Elleontheradio) from thumbelina and here is what I did with it! I entered this Lo in the December challenge over at paper stories ...see the sketch at the end of the post!

Doesn't she look pretty all in green! Now the thing is when she creates a character she has to hand make everything so she made the dress and the wig....the list goes on and on.....
I made a hidden tag for journalling so she can add what ever she wants later on.
Here is the sketch I used

just a different angle....so there you have it...thanks for taking the time to stop and check things out!
