LGS-Team B reveal

Good Morning Scrappy Friends,I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! As you already know Monday means a new sketch over at Lets Get Sketchy and the Dt's reveal...its not my week but I decided to play along anyway....I combined the sketch with Lasting Memories challenge "Animal Antics" and I am linking up with Paper Issues "put some twine on it"

I used the picture we had taken from my surprise day at the wild life park...out of all the times I've been to a Zoo or Wildlife park I have never fed anything other then Deer or goats lol so to feed the Giraffes was all kinds of fun and their tongues are purple I did not know that Oh and wicked long!

when I first read the challenge at Lasting Memories I was going to use the pictures I had taken of the turtles but they weren't very family friendly and caused quite a scene at the park...I thought it was hilarious to watch the parents trying to explain to the little kids exactly what those naughty turtles were doing...I hadn't laughed so hard in a really long time!

Make sure you head on over to Lets Get Sketchy and play along with us this week!

Challenges I lined up with

another Birthday

I figured since there are so many Birthdays coming up I would make a card with the sketch from Paper Issues instead of a layout....

You Brighten Up My Day

So last night the new challenge blog About A Girl posted its very first challenge....Its a wonderful sketch by
Brenshevia...I thought I would give it a shot because I mainly scrap about my two girls so this new challenge blog is a perfect fit!
I decided to use a wonderful picture of my oldest Daughter Samantha from way back in 1999 yeah I know that was a while ago LOL this is when she was still the sweet girl who would still wear dresses and thought pink was pretty and still had hair down to her Butt (you can't tell in the picture because braided) but she had the most beautiful hair....until she turned into a teenager then wanted it all cut off the wonderful thing is she donated it when she had it cut,she left the house with it just below her knees and came home with a bob cut I so wanted to cry!...she still keeps it cut short to this day! :( I am also linking up with A2z Scraplets for their April challenge and also over at paper issues they are celebrate all things Serendipity!
Chance, Fate, Luck, Destiny, Karma, Coincidence....and I guess I am very lucky to have this beautiful girl as my daughter!

Here is the sketch

Its rather disappointing the banner pennants I mean...because they have been in my stash for a while now and I thought they would look cute on this layout,I had thought they read LAUGH but what it actually read was LAUAH...so not what I wanted LOL so I used a small flower punch and a hole punch and just kind of covered up the lettering.Oh and I am so absent minded lately...I am also linking up with lasting memories for their inspired by a quote challenge!
 I love this thickers border!

My Daughter

On to the embarrassing pictures....you know the ones I'm talking about.....Bath time....lol..... I have to laugh because when I was done with this layout I showed my daughter at first she laughed because she thought it was her sister...until she took a closer look at the picture then she was all you can't use that one haha

anyway this is my oldest so this picture is from about 19 years ago! I used the sketch from Chic tags for their Sunday challenge! I am also linking up with Paper Issues....

XoXo

Hi All...I'm on a roll today....while I was looking thru my paper (looking for certain colors for a color challenge) I found some really cute papers and flair buttons my daughter Samantha bought me for Christmas....I never had any ideas on what to do with them...until this morning btw I never finished looking for those other papers...I swear I have ADHD....you know I see shiny thing and get distracted! so I took the papers I found then went in search of a sketch I knew I had saved the other day from Skissedilla....it was perfect for what I had in mind!

Here it is...

Look how cute my little Stephanie was....I really thought as time went on it would get easier.....but it seems to be harder! I still pick up my phone to send her silly texts....we would do this all the time....I've even lost track and started to call her to see where she was.....those are the hardest times...fourteen years just wasn't long enough....she was still my baby girl and I miss her every single minute of everyday! Okay enough sad before I start to cry again......

I really love these flair buttons and the charms....

thanks for coming to take a peek......PS if you'd like to win some flair buttons check out Paper Issues

Busy Bee..

I've been such a busy bee the last couple of days...nothing to exciting just crafty stuff. I wasn't really in the mood for the holidays,I didn't even decorate which for me is a big thing I normally decorate for every holiday doesn't matter big or small. things have happened in the last couple months that I am surprised I'm not a sniveling pile of goo.....anyway on to the good news, I follow a ton of blogs and love to read and see what other people create, as you know Christmas is right around the corner so most of the blogs are filled with cards and all sorts of wonderful decorations! Oh and lets not for get all the contests! I think I have become addicted to the contests....So I decided to try my hand at card making (even though I like scrapbooking) I found that I'm not very good at it lol but my friends and close family will really love them since they are made with LOVE!
so here is a card I made just for the sake of making one and I wanted to see if I could get the deer the way I wanted it...I got the image from Birds cards along with the sentiment, she has tons of files all sorts of goodies anyway I found the deer in her cut files well I don't have a machine for cutting or anything fancy so this is what I did with it!

I enetered this card in the 50 shades of grey challenge over at paper issues and I am also entering it in the 12 days of Christmas challenge over at Frosted Designs for their day five which you had to use "five gold things on your project!   (Both gold and yellow are acceptable for this challenge.)   You can use five different yellow/gold papers, or five gold brads, or five yellow buttons, and mix and match items" I used gold glitter and four gold brads *cheesy smile*

Now onto a special project that I am doing for my fabulous daughter Sam....as you know I started scrapbooking because I wanted to make a special memorial book for my youngest daughter Stephanie, well Sam has helped with that then she request that I make her a special book just for her cosplay pictures. For those who don't know what that means(Cosplay short for "costume play", is a type of performance art in which participants wear costumes and accessories to represent a specific character or idea. Cosplayers often interact to create a subculture centered on role play. A broader use of the term "cosplay" applies to any costumed role play in venues apart from the stage, regardless of the cultural context.) so I started making a mini album of sorts....I made the covers but never really stated any pages which is what she wanted...pages... so she picked out the first picture which happens to be a character I know Mama Toad (photo taken by Elleontheradio) from thumbelina and here is what I did with it! I entered this Lo in the December challenge over at paper stories ...see the sketch at the end of the post!

Doesn't she look pretty all in green! Now the thing is when she creates a character she has to hand make everything so she made the dress and the wig....the list goes on and on.....
I made a hidden tag for journalling so she can add what ever she wants later on.
Here is the sketch I used

just a different angle....so there you have it...thanks for taking the time to stop and check things out!
