Theres always a reason to Celebrate

So.....this one was way hard for me....I've never done a double page before they kind of intimidate me just a bit and this sketch challenge for a double layout from swat (scrap warriors advanced training)  me totally had me freaked...LOL my daughter thought it was so funny... anyway I started by finding a bunch of pictures...I think this is the most I've ever used on one project...I decided on one of Samantha's Birthday parties...haha totally got her there she hates when I scrap her younger pictures..hehe

Here is what I came up with...

Here is the sketch....

I love the trim on the yellow paper...too bad you can't see it sparkle in the picture :(
I dug thru my stash and found all these little embellishment stickers...I thought they were cute and seemed to fit so nice with the layout.
I replaced the big circle from the sketch with the big cake....

I am also linking up with The memory Nest

The Memory Nest

thank you so much for coming to take a peek......

  1. Well for your first time making a two-pager you sure did a great job. I do lots of doubles and I still find them intimidating...the trick for me is sketches =) Thanks for stepping out of your comfort zone to play along with us at SWAT!

  2. awesome job! I hate two pagers personally. Although I usually end up with coordinating complimentary pages I prefer to work with two separate sketches not ones that have overlap or have to be worked on at the same time. I simply don't have that much work space to layout 2 together.

  6. Buffy!! You did a great job on your first double pager! I've been doing them for years, and still feel that way! Lol! I especially like them for birthdays/holidays because you can get so many photos done at one time. You totally rocked this! Thanks again for joining us at SWAT!

  11. I think you need to do more double pagers Buffy!! This is awesome! Love that giant cake and the trim along the bottom of the yellow paper. Adding trim in the same colour as the paper is a great way to add texture!! Well done Buffy. Thanks for playing with us at SWAT this week!
