One fine day

I thought I would share the layout I made for scrap around the worlds..the mood board this month is just fabulous...

 my inspiration came from the butterflies...the coloring and the butterflies themselves..I used the light green and blues on my layout between the papers and the mist.. Scrap Around the world

SATW layout

Good day scrappers....I know I've been slacking the last couple of weeks,I've been busy behind the scenes and not posting to much to my blog. Now its time to play catch up...Most of my followers know I started scrapping after the loss of my youngest daughter Stephanie in September 2012... I wanted to do a memorial album,which as it turns out has been very therapeutic and its also helped remember some of best days we had with her...I go into this now because Nov 2 was her 15th birthday and friends and family gathered to do a balloon release in her honor! I did a page that was bright and up lifting because that's just how I want to remember her! The Mood board from Scrap Around the world  was just perfect for my balloon picture and just set the mood for the whole page!

 I used the rainbow colors and the heart as inspiration...I loved the background until I added the hearts...then not so much LOL But I worked with it until I liked it again!

Thought I would share my layout for Blue fern studios sketch challenge...and scrap around the world...I was inspired by the Blues and pinks of the bottom right picture on the mood board...Oh and the polka dots too...

Just me..

I am really kind of excited to share this page with everyone...one because its of me and I think I've only ever done one layout with me it before. and two I love the way it finally turned out! I used the sketch from C'est Magnifique kits and the inspiration board from Scrap Around the World

 I didn't have a circle floral so I kind of used what I had and it happened to be this clock chippy...its been in my stash for sometime now ...I've taken it out a couple times but it just never seemed right...

 If you hadn't noticed I was truly inspired by the black and white...I loved the second picture on top,what looked like funky floral around her eyes...I used a couple swirl chipboard pieces that reminded me of it (the ones around the picture)

they were lime green and sparkled but I painted them black

I painted the title chippy then used very fine white glitter and black blue glitter....I LOVE how it turned out!

Creature of Habit

I loved the mood board and sketch this month over at scrap around the world..at first I wanted to use a whole lot of lace and white on white but I just couldn't make it work out how I saw it in my head....so I kind of scrapped that idea....I went with the colors I found in the second picture on the bottom and the wood tone of the table...geez does anyone else notice all my lings kind of lean to the left? lol

 as you can see I was having a bit of fun with my new silhouette...even made the frame for Oreo the kitty  myself...haha

 this page might not of been what I pictured in my head when I first started but I like it all the same!

It's my peaceful world in the summer

Good day lovely bloggers.....Its a bright and sunny day here,which is always good for my mood! I can't believe we are already on the third day of June,time just seems to be flying by...I can't even tell you how fast May seemed to fly! As you know a new month means all new challenges...there are some really awesome ones this month...but three stuck my fancy last night and inspired me with all things summer.....
Scrap around the world - has a mood board and sketch - the inspiration I took from the mood board is from the first two pictures....it wasn't so much the cameras it was the background...I wanted to do something from the outside.
Berry71blue - asked "what do you like to do in the summer?" and bright colors- I love to spend time at the lake,I swear I live there most of the summer...its just so peaceful and not so crowded.
Scrap for help- they want you to use wood/twigs....
all these challenges just blended so well together.....so last night I pulled out a bunch of supplies,just trying to figure out what I was going to do....then I slept on it LOL
and now here is what I came up with......

It took me awhile to figure out what I wanted to do with the sketch from Scrap Around the World
they also had a mood board...I think that's where my trouble began LOL

sorry its been cloudy here for days so my picture is a bit off in colors

 I really loved the cabinet in the background in the second picture on the mood board and the gauzy table cloth in the first picture...those were the two things that stuck in my hear while I was pulling stuff out of my stash...when I was shuffling through my papers this blue paint chipping just reminded me of the cabinet in the picture and knew I had to use it!
