Adore

Evening to all you wonderful scrappers/crafters... I just wanted to share a couple things I've been working on the last couple days...first is a layout I made using the sketch from C'est Magnifique kits....I loved this sketch, I was a little disappointed that I didn't have the circle chipboard piece but then I saw the criteria for the scrap for help challenge( played along with them too) and decided to make the circle with my Silhouette using a brown paper bag I also did the borders on the left with the same paper bag....

there is also cotton thread used for a bit of texture.....

Now I want to share a couple cards I made for a FB group...they are having this event called the 12 challenges of crafting and I just have to say its been quite the challenge..each challenge they give you about 2 1/2 days to complete...right now we are on challenge 9 of 12 and it happened to be cardmaking...you had to make three cards 1 birthday,1 thinking of you and 1 holiday...now the challenge part was you had to pick from a list of techniques...I hadn't tried any of the techniques listed LOL  anyway here are my three....

first one was a pop up.... this one was cute but I think next time I will use different colors!
second was a Tri-Shutter Card- Love this one!
and the last was a Shaker card- I should of used a lot more beads LOL...

thanks for coming to take a peek!

Cutie

Good morning my scrappy friends...I wanted to share a layout I finished last night...I kind of combined a couple challenges so bare with me...first I used all the ingredients from the A2ZScapplets challenge-
The ingredients are-the colour red-material or felt-sewing, (machine, hand, or faux)-more than 1 photo
-paint or mist -an A2Z scraplet (Chipboard). Then I used a bottle cap for the challenge over at Scrap for Help.....finally I used the tic tac toe board from 123 get scrappy... here is what I came up with...

Not so much a real smile just a smirk!

I used a circle stencil for my texture paste and a smaller circle stencil with ink....the chipboard piece is in the upper rt hand corner..I used a pearl painter dabber and red paint I used my heat gun to make it bubble ..love that effect!

Don't you just love the butterflies...I am proud to say I did those LOL I actually made those for a crafty game on one of the FB groups I belong to and I had no idea what I was going to do with them after since I made them on a piece of scrap canvas....I thought they went pretty well with this page so I stitched them right to the layout!

The End of Summer

Since its the end of summer I just had to make a layout of the things I will miss about summer...most of it I wrote in journaling on the back but I am sure you all understand what I'm talking about! I didn't really stress how this would turn out,I just kind of went with it and love how it ended...I did use the sketch from keeping the best and the criteria from Scrap for Help ( to use soda can clip) I am also entering this in the take the challenge over at Faber-Castell ....here is what I ended up with.

the soda clips or tabs as we call them just seemed to fit this layout so it worked in my favor!

Challenges Entered
Keeping the Best -sketch
Scrap for Help-soda can clip
Faber-Castell Take the challenge

thanks for taking the time to come and check out my latest project!

Follow your dreams

I'm really kind of excited about sharing this page...it took some time and playing around but I absolutely love the end result....I used the inspiration picture from Archi-scrap and the criteria from Scrap for help  Here is my page....

I was inspired by the Brick facade ...so I used that as my base a little molding paste some ink I also used a strongly brewed  tea bag for staining .....then used some distressed stain (rusty hinge) just to add a bit more color...then I tried to bull the pinks and purples plus all the greens from the window frames and flower box's with the layered papers
the chip board is from ScrapFX I'm not sure about the beautiful circle it was in a RAK I received but no name on the bag....its been in my stash for months now and I was so afraid to use it because it was just so darn pretty!

I also used a couple flower shapes from Silhouette that I had already cut out out of some scraps...I thought they went well...
the pictures just don't seem to do this page justice...it looks so much better in person LOL

It's my peaceful world in the summer

Good day lovely bloggers.....Its a bright and sunny day here, which is always good for my mood! I can't believe we are already on the third day of June, time just seems to be flying by...I can't even tell you how fast May seemed to fly! As you know a new month means all new challenges...there are some really awesome ones this month...but three stuck my fancy last night and inspired me with all things summer.....
Scrap around the world - has a mood board and sketch - the inspiration I took from the mood board is from the first two pictures....it wasn't so much the cameras it was the background...I wanted to do something from the outside.
Berry71blue - asked "what do you like to do in the summer?" and bright colors- I love to spend time at the lake,I swear I live there most of the summer...its just so peaceful and not so crowded.
Scrap for help- they want you to use wood/twigs....
all these challenges just blended so well together.....so last night I pulled out a bunch of supplies, just trying to figure out what I was going to do....then I slept on it LOL
and now here is what I came up with......

A Dream Come True

Good Morning .....I wanted to share a layout I did for this months challenge at SEM, Challenge #27 All God's Creatures...they wanted you to do a layout inspired by our pets...I had a hard time because I know I had the perfect picture with three of them together but I just couldn't seem to find it!
So I did the next best thing I used my favorite picture of my sweet Nova ( you see her in almost all of my profile pictures LOL)
It started about 9 years ago....we already had a family dog Xena (his family) and a family cat Cutie(my family) we met fell in love then combined families...we weren't sure if they would like each other...but as it turns out they were close even slept together...Fast forward 7 years add one new kitty,a rough patch and the loss of cutie then a huge move many many states away....we talked again about getting a puppy ...better yet a small dog...that's what we agreed on a small dog..then a chance encounter lead us to a litter of pups just eight weeks old...that same day we brought home Nova a beautiful Black Lab (so much for  a small dog LOL) she has been such a blessing especially the last couple of month, she is my constant companion ...she does not judge... she is always there to comfort me!She makes me smile even when I feel like crying... I can't even put in to words what she means to me! She truly is something special!

now onto my layout....

I really did try to keep this short LOL...
I used the color palette from My Sweet Earth and the challenge requirement from scrap for help which was to use a book page.....this is what I came up with:
Scrap twist for Scrapping Everyday Miracles:USE AN ANIMAL RELATED QUOTE/SAYING OR EVEN A BIBLE VERSE ON YOUR PROJECT.
Here is my Quote: He is your friend, your partner, your defender, your dog. You are his life, his love, his leader. He will be yours, faithful and true, to the last beat of his heart. You owe it to him to be worthy of such devotion. -Unknown

the page is from an old cook book....I washed it over with a bit of paint and water....in the light it has a light blue shimmer to it...
Make sure you head over to Scrapping Everyday Miracles and enter into this months challenge All God's Creatures!
thank you so much for coming to take a peek at my page!

Oreo and Nova

These are my two Fur babies playing....Nova is the black Lab and Oreo is the kitty...Nova was chasing one of her toys and Oreo wanted in on the action....you would think I would video record them but I always forget...they are defiantly funny to watch,I swear the cat thinks shes a big bad dog the way she chases Nova around the house!

I combined three challenge blogs this time all for different reasons....
Scrap your story- theme is animals
Skissedilla- for their sketch challenge
Scrap for help- use burlap

Here is the sketch....

they truly are best friends....I love to watch them play!

thanks for coming to take a peek...all comment are very much appreciated..they always make me smile! :D

Beautiful

I thought I would give the challenge over at Scrap for Help a shot which also lead me over to The color Room...so I combined both challenges :o)

I used another picture from my lovely penpal this one is of Diablo Lake( the green color of the water comes from the glacier effect) in North Cascades National Park....its another beautiful picture!

the plastic are the flower in the corner of the picture and the butterfly!

these challenges gave me the perfect chance to use these cute yellow flowers I make with some fabric scraps...they are all soft!

thanks for taking a peek......
