Face of a angel

yeah I know I just posted but I have one more to share...and I think I like this one much better...as you can see I have an awful time with color challenges but I try to get it as close as I can LOL I used the other sketch from The Memory Nest...all part of their summer challenges....I am also going to participate in the Scrap Your Story DIY challenge...I made the cute flower by hand :)

 handmade flower...the title says Face of a Angel....you can't really read it in the pictures no matter how many times I took it LOL

Can you tell I really love my new silhouette cameo...because I really do!

Life .....the greatest Adventure

Good evening all...I wanted to share my latest layout....as most of you know I I do most of my pages of my Daughter Stephanie...Some are for her Memorial album...this is one of them...I choose the picture from last summer because Stephanie was being kind of goofy and she was wearing her favorite scarf and jean shorts...even in the middle of summer she had that darn scarf on ....I have so many of her things that I just don't know what to do with but I just can't get rid of them.....so since this layout was for my special album I decided to use her favorite shorts some how.....

as you can see I use a bit as a layers and then cut up some and made the flower... there is hidden journaling about a couple of her favorite things on the journal card on the right..
  I used the new sketch from lets get sketchy..... I decided to use the sketch and the criteria from scrap your story (which is Favorites) plus I also used Kelly's Criteria from the flying unicorn which was things with wings....

Reach for the stars

Over at Scrap Your Story the challenge this time is about Journaling "Make sure you include at least two sentences of journaling on your layout." I love to journal but don't really like to show it on the layout so most times you just never see it but its always there....like on this layout I made a huge tag and typed up my journaling.

as you can see there are more then two sentences :)

Time Flies

I had just one of these cute little pictures of Stephanie playing hairdresser...she managed to use every single butterfly clip in her very thin hair..LOL She was such a cutie. I used the color palette and sketch from  the Paper Mixing Bowl, I am also linking up with Scrap Your Story their challenge is stitching "hand stitching, machine stitching, or even faux stitching"

 I created my own brick wall stencil, I used the clear plastic lid to a foil baking pan...I figured it was sturdy enough...I think it came out pretty good.

 the peach was the hardest color for me to find in my stash but I managed to find a couple peices..

Magnificent Spring

Afternoon all.....I was digging through my little stash looking for inspiration to go along with Scrap Your Story's Sketch....I came across a baggie filled with assorted tags/borders from Pink Paislee Queen Bee collection and I thought they were just perfect for what I had in mind....It just so happens over at Lasting memories their challenge is to use your stash...well since I don't have a very big stash this would have to do LOL

 I made these cute little tassels...hehe I love them...the flower puffy stickers were also in my stash but I have no clue who made them.

Here is the sketch...I turned it just a bit ....

.I hand cut the vine like things out of one of the tags....

Redo....one of my first layout redone...

Over at Get Creative their first challenge this month "RE DO one of your first layouts! We want to see one of your very first layouts and then show us how you would re do it now that your scrapping style may have changed or now that you may have more stash to work with" so I went to find one of my first layouts....then I went in search of a sketch I could use and I found a really nice one over at Pagemaps,I was also able to incorporate the challenge from Scrap your story " your entry must be a layout but can be any size or orientation...even a mini album....it only need to include something(s) relating to SPRING!" between my photo and the flowers...plus the butterflies...its very spring like..lol

Here is the first layout and the sketch I used for the new layout.....

I think I like the new one better....

Forgotten photo with great memories

I was so excited I found this great picture of My Great Grandmother(little grandma we called her) and Papa and my Grandma Honey (which of course we called her big grandma) with my oldest Sam....this was taken at Sam's Christening  In February 1993....geez that seems like a life time ago....I didn't think I had any pictures of my Great grandmother or papa and I was so thrilled! So I had the picture now I just had to figure out what to do with it LOL of course that's where sketches always come in handy.....I got my sketch from Get creative it wasn't as easy as I thought it would be.....I worked on this a lot yesterday and just kept thinking it was missing something....Then I saw the post for Scrap your Story  and thought this was perfect!

Here what I came up with....

I had just about everything placed but like I said something was missing....that was the bits of cork....I just happen to have an old cork board that was falling apart and I was just gonna throw the remnants away...haha I think they look awesome here

 just bits of cork and of course I have become obsessed with burlap and the bits of stings......

 Just some fussy bits and I plan on writing some more journaling on that bit of lined paper under the flower....there is already some on the tag

I was kind of proud of my little flower.....the button was some left over bits my Daughter had from one of her costumes she made( I've been trying to steal them from her for weeks) but once I got my grubby hands on it I wasn't sure what to do with it ....the flower was the perfect solution! Now she wants me to make her one LOL

Celebrate Sweet Memories

My sweet earth's challenge this month is Celebrate and a color challenge....so I was digging thru a box of old pictures and I came across a bunch from my daughters Birthday many many years ago....this is Stephanie all tuckered out after partying all day! I love this picture and I found a couple others from this day that I will be using real soon.....I used a sketch from Lets capture our memories and I am also linking up with Scrap your story their challenge was to use some sort of embossing( I dry embossed the hearts beside the picture)

Oreo and Nova

These are my two Fur babies playing....Nova is the black Lab and Oreo is the kitty...Nova was chasing one of her toys and Oreo wanted in on the action....you would think I would video record them but I always forget...they are defiantly funny to watch,I swear the cat thinks shes a big bad dog the way she chases Nova around the house!

I combined three challenge blogs this time all for different reasons....
