a day lost

Oh my goodness I have lost a day somewhere....oops totally missed my normal Monday post! So we will pretend today is Monday hehe...which means a new sketch over at lets get sketchy...

Its still funny to look at these pictures...My Sam was a real girly girl when she was younger..(.up until teen years) so to see her trying to fish was one of the funniest things I have every seen and heaven forbid something catch on her line haha...I don't think she ever went again after this trip!

I had some fun with my Silhouette portrait and cut out some fishy shapes

and used the extras here.....

This is awesome

I went a bit bright with this layout but had a ton of fun making it! I finally used up some of my prima pastel stuff that I just had no clue what to do with! I make this layout using the sketch from Skissedilla for this months challenge!

I also wanted to share something a bit different...over at the Flying Unicorn forum they have a challenge this month for paper dresses and I really wanted to give it a shot..this is what I came up with...

kinda shabby thank you card

I absolutely love shabby chic but I never seem to be able to pull it off lol but I do tend to follow a lot of shabby blog just because I love to look...my favorite happens to be Lets get shabby yeah I know they are a challenge blog but they have so many beautiful projects and so much inspiration!

well I decided I was going to play along with their challenge this month....Challenge # 50 is buttons..so I made a cute card with buttons on it..

Sorry about the pictures but the weather has been horrible here and I can't seem to get the right lighting...these was the best out of ten LOL

A time of wonder

I thought I would give the sketch over at My creative sketches...it was a rough one because it was a double pager....I really love how it turned out too bad I can't get a good picture! I have retaken it like 6 times LOL

I swear all the paper matches and that would paper is a rusty burgundy color not the pinkish purple color that it looks on here!!! I have no clue why it looks like that...anyway it looks good in real life so I guess thats all that counts!

I love this picture..its from the leaves on the sidewalk....it just looks so cool!

Sisters

Evening my scrappy friends..I just wanted to share a layout I made with the Keeping the best sketch..this one was a bit rough for me because I don't really like the starburt effect on my layouts but I managed to make it work

 I tried to cut down all the pink with the white ribbon lol it wasn't very effective but I do love the end result!
Oh and I flipped the sketch!

Lets Get Sketchy Team B's reveal

So I decided to play along this week with Team B over at Lets Get Sketchy even though its not my team but I loved the sketch....

I used these beautiful pictures my best friend sent me from her new home in New Hampshire...I so miss the fall colors in New England :( we just don't get those pretty reds and oranges....we go from green to yellow to brown...not my idea of pretty LOL if I am lucky I will be able to see the beautiful fall colors with my own two eyes...we have planned a trip to Maine,we're leaving Oct 24th so I should be able to catch some of it! Must remember to bring my camera!

 I am also linking up with lasting memories for their use a black background challenge!

Now I'd like to share another card I made for Get Creative...all this month they are holding card challenges in honor of  world of card making day and the 3rd Birthday of  Get Creative! they will be holding 12 (with 12 prizes)card challenges this month!

this challenge is to use a stencil or masking on your card!

I got to use a stencil that I haven't had a chance to use and a velum sentiment that just never seemed to fit into my scrapping pages...so it was win win LOL
