Every New Beginning...

Good afternoon my scrappy friends, I hope your all having a good week so far. We are still recovering from the sever thunderstorm and lightning last night...my poor furbaby didn't leave my side all night.I felt so bad for her! It was one heck of a light show that's for sure! anyway I just wanted to share my entry for the Blue Fern Studio's June challenge...I loved the sketch this month and thought this picture was perfect for it!

 I love this chippy piece I've been dying to use it and this seemed to be the perfect opportunity!

Good Morning my scrappy friends, its another fantastic Monday which means a brand new sketch over at Lets Get Sketchy....sorry for the poor picture but the weather here hasn't been very cooperative the last couple of weeks!
here is what I came up with this week....

Just wanted to share the layout I made for the once upon a sketch challenge, the journaling theme " the best things in life aren't things" the first thing I thought of was Family time...which lead to one of my favorite things we used to do as a family...summer family BBQ's~ it was so easy when the kids were little and we all lived on the East coast, we used to get together every summer the whole family,aunts uncles,grandparents cousins..haha when I say whole family I mean it...it looked like a mob!

this picture is from one of those times my daughter (shes now 21...cries where did the time go) is on the right,with her favorite cousins.
there is hidden journaling behind the picture.

Repurposed Iced Tea container

Afternoon my scrappy friends...I wanted to share my latest project, the idea started from the new June challenges up over at the Flying Unicorn forum Lainie has an awesome challenge called "What your purpose?" This challenge is all about finding some item in your house that you would normally toss into the garbage and to redesign it's original purpose into something that is useful for you or that you could gift to someone else. This idea fit perfect with the new challenges up at A2Z Scraplets (off the page challenge) and Beyond Grey challenges (Stamping and Misting) So I decided to combine all three...

you see we are big Crystal light fans so I always have these little containers....

I've used them to store markers,pencils and flowers...but I never thought to decorate them LOL

the piece of chipboard is from A2Z Scraplets...it was the perfect size to use on this project!

 Criteria for the challenge at Beyond Grey:

• You must have visible Misting on the face of your project - Any kind of misting will do for example - Using mists like Lindy's stamp gang or color bloom by prima etc,  Making a splatter with a paint brush , Using a tooth brush with water colors to create a nice misting on your project. 
• Your project must show Stamping on Fabric !  Its time to pick and experiment with any type of fabric and see how your stamps work on them. !

I did my stamping on the fabric leaves and on the brown ribbon on the bottom and you can see my misting/paint drippings and now my shape scissors have a pretty new home!

Good afternoon my scrappy friends, I am sad to say but this cold is still kicking my butt so I haven't really been crafting all that much the last couple of weeks *cries* I miss my crafting table LOL I did manage to scrap a page this morning (not sure how much I actually like it though) and I wanted to post it before I crawl back to bed!

I hope everyone is having a fabulous long weekend,as for myself I have been fighting off an awful cold since last Wednesday lets just say I didn't win LOL I spent most of this weekend in bed..I don't think it would have been too bad but my Asthma kicked in and kicked my butt, I was feeling some what normal yesterday and decided I wanted to sit at my craft table I had this fabulous idea for the sketch from Blue Fern studio...
I guess I wasn't feeling as well as I thought,this layout took me all day...the naps took up most of my crafty time LOL
so anyway I dug out this old photo of my youngest Sam from her dancing days ( Oh How I miss those days) she was so much better at dancing then she was playing T ball ( hmmm I have a couple pictures of that too,I'll have to dig those out!)  haha when I showed her the picture I was using she wasn't pleased at all, she was 7 or 8 in the picture and is now 21 almost 22 so I think she's a wee bit embarrassed! I love it!
yes yes I am a bit of a rambler today....anyway here is my layout...it didn't really turn out just as I planned but then again it never does..

 I got to use the new stamp from Kiasercraft I just bought from the flying unicorn store

and of course the new chippy piece( called one cute chick) I received from Blue Fern studio
