Funky Birthday card
Good evening crafters....now don't laugh but I have been working on the challenge over at A2Z Scraplets and this month I was determined I was making a card LOL haha it was easier said then done for some reason...I should have just done a layout LOL
so the month they decided to do what they call a puzzle challenge, you had to use a piece of A2Z Scraplets chippy and
all of the elements in the below.....
Here is how I used the elements-------> the arrows I added to my sentiment, used a clock in the background along with the chevron/wiggle lines, and there is a cute little heart cut out of the chippy piece!
Now I may not totally love this card but my 21 year old daughter LOVES it and says she will be sending it to one of her friends LOL so I guess its a good thing!

Repurposed Iced Tea container
Afternoon my scrappy friends...I wanted to share my latest project, the idea started from the new June challenges up over at the Flying Unicorn forum Lainie has an awesome challenge called "What your purpose?" This challenge is all about finding some item in
your house that you would normally toss into the garbage and to
redesign it's original purpose into something that is useful for
you or that you could gift to someone else. This idea fit perfect with the new challenges up at A2Z Scraplets (off the page challenge) and Beyond Grey challenges (Stamping and Misting) So I decided to combine all three...
you see we are big Crystal light fans so I always have these little containers....
I've used them to store markers, pencils and flowers...but I never thought to decorate them LOL
the piece of chipboard is from A2Z Scraplets...it was the perfect size to use on this project!
Criteria for the challenge at Beyond Grey:
I did my stamping on the fabric leaves and on the brown ribbon on the bottom and you can see my misting/paint drippings and now my shape scissors have a pretty new home!

Criteria for the challenge at Beyond Grey:
- You must have visible Misting on the face of your project - Any kind of misting will do for example - Using mists like Lindy's stamp gang or color bloom by prima etc, Making a splatter with a paint brush , Using a tooth brush with water colors to create a nice misting on your project.
- Your project must show Stamping on Fabric ! Its time to pick and experiment with any type of fabric and see how your stamps work on them. !

Cutie
Good morning my scrappy friends...I wanted to share a layout I finished last night...I kind of combined a couple challenges so bare with me...first I used all the ingredients from the A2ZScapplets challenge-
I used a circle stencil for my texture paste and a smaller circle stencil with ink....the chipboard piece is in the upper rt hand corner..I used a pearl painter dabber and red paint I used my heat gun to make it bubble ..love that effect!
Don't you just love the butterflies...I am proud to say I did those LOL I actually made those for a crafty game on one of the FB groups I belong to and I had no idea what I was going to do with them after since I made them on a piece of scrap canvas....I thought they went pretty well with this page so I stitched them right to the layout!
thanks for coming to take a peek......
The ingredients are-the colour red-material or felt-sewing, (machine, hand, or faux)-more than 1 photo
-paint or mist
-an A2Z scraplet (Chipboard). Then I used a bottle cap for the challenge over at Scrap for Help.....finally I used the tic tac toe board from 123 get scrappy... here is what I came up with...
Not so much a real smile just a smirk!

I wanted to share one more project from last month...Over at A2Z scraplets last month they had a blind challenge...they gave you a list of things you had to do/use ...it was tons of fun
Instructions…
1.
Using your mask/template/stencilet and
Spray/Mist/Paint/Gesso, add the pattern randomly to your plain cardstock piece
focusing largely on the centre and top right corner and bottom left corner.
2.
Fill a spray lid or some other small thimble
sized cup with some of your spray/mist/paint. If you used a thicker paint, mix
a tiny bit with some water to create a watery liquid and fill the lid. Standing
about 30cm above your layout, slowly tilt your lid/cup slightly to allow drips
and splatters to create near your mask work.
3.
While the background is drying, cut your
patterned paper into the following sizes and distress all edges. You can distress
your edges either using a distressing tool, nail file or using your scissors
(see video tutorial below), inking or painting. Sizes to cut your paper are 1st
piece -20cm x 10cm, 2nd piece - 20cm x 10cm, 3rd piece –
8cm x 20cm, 4th piece – 15cm x 10cm & 5th piece – 5cm
x 20cm (cut a triangle from the bottom of this piece to look like a banner
before distressing). I have listed measurements showing the width x height if
you have patterned paper that requires patterns to be used in one direction.
4.
Layer your patterned paper in the centre of your
layout on top of each other randomly using the largest piece at the bottom and
the smallest on top. Play with the layers before you stick them down so you are
100% happy with their placement. I like to place everything down, then take a
photo with my mobile phone so I can easily remove everything and start to
adhere the papers how you liked.
5.
Using your twine/floss, create a triple layered
circle in the centre of your page. I find it easier to get perfect circles by
using an old 2 litre soft drink bottle to wrap the twine around softly 3 times
then sliding off carefully keeping the circle shape. You could also draw a
perfect circle as a guideline to cover with the twine etc.
6.
Add some random stitching to the edges of some
of your patterned paper. Zig Zags are a fun look when randomly used.
7.
Distress the edges of your photo/photos using
the same method that you used for your papers and then adhere using some 3D
Foam tape or other 3D Adhesive in the centre of your patterned paper layers and
circle.
8.
Paint your Chipboard title using the same Paint/Spray/Gesso
that you used to stencil your background and then adhere it to the bottom left
corner of your photo once dry. If you haven’t got a chipboard title, you can
add a title using Alphabet stickers on the bottom left of the photo. You want
the title to slightly overlap the photo (by no more than 1cm).
9.
Using your scraps of Patterned Paper, create 3
different sized handmade flowers and add them in front of your
title in a mini cluster. If you would prefer to not use flowers, add some
buttons or flair here instead. thanks for coming to take a peek!

Good afternoon scrappy people.....yes I am quite the good mood today I have no clue why..lol I just wanted to share a page I did this morning...I used a sketch from Keeping the best and used A2Z scraplets challenge criteria and came up with this....
I took some plain card stock and used texture paste and ink to create my own background....I am really kind of thrilled with how it came out..
Love the texture...but I might use different colors next time!

Angels in disguise...
Did you ever start a page then all of a sudden get a different idea for something else? I had one of those moments this afternoon...I was looking thru all the new challenges for May ....found one I liked pick out a picture and papers and a couple bits and pieces to go with it....I was in the middle of cutting when it stuck me that I had a different picture I wanted to use...It was the perfect picture....but it didn't go with anything else LMAO
anyway the challenge was for about a girl and I had to start fresh because I really really wanted to use this picture....its the last time I ever had pictures taken of the both of them together (professionally anyway)...once you see the picture you will see why..LOL
Look at those faces...neither one would give a real smile...but I couldn't resist getting all the pictures because this was just them...I swear this is worse then any school picture I've ever seen..Okay now for where I am linking this....
Skissedilla-sketch ,
S.W.A.T- used three different manufactures, basicgrey,Bo Bunny,A2zscraplets, Ranger
Used paint on the chipboard
About A Girl -Please include her/their names somewhere on the page
A2z Scraplets -colors Blue,Black,White and yellow OLNY
LOVE this chipboard from a2z scraplets!
this big yellow flower actually came on a card from a scrappy friend but it came off after my cat tried to take off with the string attached to the card...LOL I like it too much not to use it!
thanks for coming to take a peek!

You Brighten Up My Day
So last night the new challenge blog About A Girl posted its very first challenge....Its a wonderful sketch by
Brenshevia...I thought I would give it a shot because I mainly scrap about my two girls so this new challenge blog is a perfect fit!
I decided to use a wonderful picture of my oldest Daughter Samantha from way back in 1999 yeah I know that was a while ago LOL this is when she was still the sweet girl who would still wear dresses and thought pink was pretty and still had hair down to her Butt (you can't tell in the picture because braided) but she had the most beautiful hair....until she turned into a teenager then wanted it all cut off the wonderful thing is she donated it when she had it cut,she left the house with it just below her knees and came home with a bob cut I so wanted to cry!...she still keeps it cut short to this day! :( I am also linking up with A2z Scraplets for their April challenge and also over at paper issues they are celebrate all things Serendipity!
Chance, Fate, Luck, Destiny, Karma, Coincidence....and I guess I am very lucky to have this beautiful girl as my daughter!
Here is the sketch
Its rather disappointing the banner pennants I mean...because they have been in my stash for a while now and I thought they would look cute on this layout,I had thought they read LAUGH but what it actually read was LAUAH...so not what I wanted LOL so I used a small flower punch and a hole punch and just kind of covered up the lettering.Oh and I am so absent minded lately...I am also linking up with lasting memories for their inspired by a quote challenge!
I love this thickers border!

Sleepy
Good day.....So as some of you already know I received a wonderful present about a week ago and there were so many wonderful papers..hehe there was this set which I used today that I really liked because it kind of reminded me of when the kids were small and they would make those drawing, you know the ones I'm talking about....I always had them on my refrigerator(I think I still have some packed away some where)...well they are really bold colors ....so I kind of worked backwards since I had the papers now I needed a picture LOL Not as easy as I thought it would be! But I found one of my favorite Pug Wicked she's just too cute...I had my picture, papers and a sketch from A2Z Scraplets and here is what I came up with....
as you can see freehand swirls are not my thing! lol but it works with the page so its all good!
here is the sketch I worked from....make sure you head over to A2Z Scraplets and enter their challenge!
I kind of had a field day with the glitter.....Love the smile face it was a gift from my oldest Sam...
isn't wicked just the cutest pug! thanks for taking a peek....
