Birthday Bash Challenge- To create any birthday inspired project from examples you see on the DT pages, and upload here at LGS. If their project is a layout, then do a lift of that page. If it’s a project of sorts, then do that project. You can pick from ANY DT member’s blog project for the hop. Go back to Lets get sketchy and upload it .
the blog Hop was awesome...there are some really fabulous projects, it was so hard for me to choice who's project I wanted to try...I ended up picking Sherri because she did this really cute mini album to add to her layout, I had all these pictures from one of Stephanie's Birthdays (2003 she just turned 5) and I really liked the idea of the mini...so not only did I do a scrap lift but also did the mini too...
sorry the colors are off my camera battery is dying! |
I followed Sherri's instruction for the mini but some how messed up on the placement of the ribbon,I didn't put it down before I attached the paper and I didn't like how it looked over so I improvised...I used a hole punch and ran the ribbon under the cover.
I had all these really cute stickers that I added....and there is plenty of room for me to write some added journaling which I love!
It's funny...I remember this day like it was yesterday,I can tell you each and every gift because she was so happy with everything she had gotten...and that cat....geez she carried it around everywhere...it even when to school with her for the first two years! The battery operated car was a huge hit....you know the ones they can ride in...yeah well normally I put all the toys together,I read the instructions but for some reason this time her father and uncle decided they could do it....she wait ...Not so patiently I might add for almost three hours for them to finish while everyone else just laughed at them...we tried to help but it must be a guy thing. Finally they announce its ready...battery is fully charged (because MOM thought ahead two days before) she gets in...hits the gas....its moves but she has no control....hahahaha they didn't hook up the steering wheel right...I don't think I have ever laughed so hard in my life! to say the least I fixed it...lol like I said lots of memories here and I am sure I'll fill out every bit of space I have left :)
Btw Debbie I did take your advice and write on the back of the other layouts the stories I shared on the blog, I do write a lot on all my layouts but just don't share all I've written, sometimes I remember later and go back and write even more!
thank you so much for coming to take a peek.....I hope I did Sherri justice :D
