or better yet put a big sentiment on the inside...geez why do you think of these things after LOL

Belated Birthday Gnomes

Good day my crafty friends, today I wanted to share a project I made featuring supplies from Scrapsalot shop...
I used Lawn fawns Oh Gnome stamp set, I kind of did a stamp and cut using my silhouette portrait..reminder to self color the tiny images before you cut them..anyway I did a bunch of lil gnomes and mushrooms so I would have plenty on hand at a later date... I colored them using Prismacolor pencil and a lil gamsol then set aside to assemble some mushroom houses they come together pretty quick, I went with the standard red and brown but I've seen them pink and purple so you can use your imagination.

I decided to keep my sky simple and just used some faded jean ink oxide..the grass and fence were cut using my silhouette the flowers and grass papers are from DCWV.

Now isn't this just the cutest thing ever...its a mushroom house shaped card, yeah yeah it's little but just so cute! I folded a piece of cream cardstock in half and used the background mushroom die to cut the base I just kept the top of the die above the fold line so when I was done I had a fold at the top...I then cut two more bases in brown one I placed on the back of the card and the other on the front and decorated accordingly...haha I kept this one for myself!

so I kind of rambled on in this post and if you're still here I'm sorry but I really wanted to share some of the processes and as you can read I write as I speak all over the place LOL

Supplies used from Scrapsalot

~Distress oxide- faded jeans
~Lawn Fawn- Mushroom house die and Oh Gnome stamp set

Fantasy and Wings

The word inspiration Fantasy and the creative challenge word wings seemed to go hand in hand for this month...the word fantasy made me think of fairies...as a little girl, I used to believe that fireflies/lightning bugs were little fairies. So I created a scene with little magic garden fairies.

More than words

I tried to capture the sparkle and shine, it was really hard with such poor lighting (it's been so cloudy for days here and I just couldn't put off taking the picture any longer or I'd forget LOL )

under water theme

I thought I'd share a couple cards I made for a challenge in one of my swap groups, it was an underwater theme!
I started with some watercolor backgrounds I made I didn't want them to look the same....

who doesn't love mermaids.... I cut my tail using my silhouette portrait and colored it using dew drop inks so it shimmers...the sentiment is from Unity stamps and I thought it went perfectly with my theme!
for my second card, I found these cute little tropical fish. it was a free cut file from Printable cuttable creatable they have some really cute files! I colored them using the dew drop inks also they would shimmer (also the coral).
the green leafy weedy stuff was all colored with a water brush and some markers...the sentiment is from a stamp set called thanks for the lift by my creative time ( yes I mix and match everything LOL)
all in all, I am very pleased with how both cards turned out! I hope you like them too!

DT Reveal Lets Get Sketchy

Good morning....I hope everyone had a fabulous weekend! Lets start our week off with a new sketch from Lets Get Sketchy.... I really wanted to use these selfie photos my daughter did but I couldn't really find any papers that I liked to go with them...so I used my Silhouette portrait and the print and cut feature to make my own papers :) I did a couple mock layouts and took screen shots and sent them to her to see which colors and patterns she like best...this was her pick....all in all I like how it came out even though its a very basic (no embellishments) its perfect for her book!

I hope you'll play along with us at Lets Get Sketchy
