Fly away

I thought I would play along with Sketchabilites newest sketch....for some reason it just called to me!

I pull out some bits and pieces that have been in my stash for quite awhile now...the chipboard window (not even sure where that came from ),the small wooden tags, the die cut hearts and butterfly, handmade fabric flowers and the two small paper frames are well over a year old..hmmm come to think of it the only new thing is one of the stencils I used in the background LOL
Love Love this sketch!!!!! I love the tiny wood tags, I just used some gesso on them then found some cute stamps...
all in all I love how it turned out! thanks for stopping by!

Bonnet

Here is my take on this months sketch from C`est Magnifique kits... I've been dying to use this chippy piece but I never found a photo that looked good with until now...I was digging through some old photos and found this cutie, both my girls were bonnet girls I swear my oldest wore one for years ( I might even still have their first ones packed away LOL)

I haven't decided on my journaling just yet but I normally add it to the back later on...

Blessing

Good afternoon my scrappy friends, this morning I have my latest layout that I wanted to share...I used the sketch from Blue Fern Studios for their September challenge and also the criteria from the Frosted Designs newest challenge "add "Graffiti " To your project: Paint, Doodling, and/or handwriting."

here is what I came up with....

I started with Tim Hotz paper and a couple pieces of scraps leftover from another project..added some old pages from a dictionary....I layered the strips of scraps then added the ripped pages of dictionary paper...added a bit of gesso....then tried to pick out some matching mists (lol I don't own many) .....added a bit of washi tape.....while I was waiting for the paint to dry I made a couple flowers to add to my layout...

I really loved the sketch this month but I didn't have a big circle piece of chipboard from  Blue Fern Studios so I made due with plain cardstock...I cut the design from my Silhouette portrait then painted it...I dug through my stash of Blue fern chippy pieces and pulled out a couple tags that would work with the design in my head (not that it always turns out as planned lol), I gesso and stamped both tags...one I stamped with a sentiment/title in the upper left corner and the other is behind the photo... I hand wrote a couple phrases around the photo and also doodled the arrows around the whole layout...
added a bit of twine and voila my layout is complete ....
Thank you so much for taking the time to check out my latest project!
Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

Always Remember You

As most of you already know I started scrapbooking just about two years ago after a tragic accident claimed my youngest daughters life....September 28th will make the two years that she has been gone! through scrapbooking I have been able to come to grips (sorta) with the fact that she isn't here but will always live on in our hearts and memories! I've created several scrapbooks (including minis) for her friends and our family members...I want to be able to remember all the good times we had! Its been wonderful therapy!

I wanted to share a layout I did using one of my favorite pictures of my Stephanie...she had that whole teen attitude going on, with "really another picture" just thinking about it makes me smile! I used the sketch from C'est Magnifique for their September challenge!

Thank you for taking the time to stop by and look at my latest project!

Its really sad that her painted tattoo look better then my real one LOL
I used the sketch from Blue Fern Studios and of course some of their fabulous chipboard pieces (the small tag, butterfly and title!)

Funky Birthday card

Good evening crafters....now don't laugh but I have been working on the challenge over at A2Z Scraplets and this month I was determined I was making a card LOL haha it was easier said then done for some reason...I should have just done a layout LOL

so the month they decided to do what they call a puzzle challenge, you had to use a piece of A2Z Scraplets chippy and

all of the elements in the below.....
Here is how I used the elements-------> the arrows I added to my sentiment, used a clock in the background along with the chevron/wiggle lines, and there is a cute little heart cut out of the chippy piece!

Now I may not totally love this card but my 21 year old daughter LOVES it and says she will be sending it to one of her friends LOL so I guess its a good thing!

Create

Good afternoon scrappers.... I thought I would share my latest layout, I used the sketch from Blue Fern Studios and of course some of their fabulous chippy pieces (part of the Miss Tailor set) which just happen to be perfect for some of my daughters pictures....you see she she is very talented..yes yes I am a bit bias LOL what mother isn't.....anyway she has a talent for sewing and costume designing for cosplay...all she has to do is look at something and she can replicate sometimes she will alter a pattern but most times she just makes her own! The picture I decided on was a jacket she created form attack on titan (to be honest I have no clue what that is beside being a manga series LOL)

So here is the page I created to showcase her work...
