Timeless

I had this wonderful inspiration picture from Archi-Scraps I've been trying to come up with an idea.....it wasn't so easy......I loved all the intricate details in the door... so I kind of went with the obvious..I replicated the doorway and used it as the frame for my photo...I also used the sketch from Berry71Blue and this is how everything turned out!

I got this Flourish Transom from the Silhouette shop...I used it to make a doorway

The End of Summer

Since its the end of summer I just had to make a layout of the things I will miss about summer...most of it I wrote in journaling on the back but I am sure you all understand what I'm talking about! I didn't really stress how this would turn out,I just kind of went with it and love how it ended...I did use the sketch from keeping the best and the criteria from Scrap for Help ( to use soda can clip) I am also entering this in the take the challenge over at Faber-Castell ....here is what I ended up with.

the soda clips or tabs as we call them just seemed to fit this layout so it worked in my favor!

Nautical Card

Good morning my scrappy friends..I stumbled upon a new (I guess you would call it store lol) called Creative Embellishments (store) they have some of the cutest chipboard I've ever come across and guess what they just had their grand opening September 1st and now they are having their very first challenge on their blog  Create a layout, altered item, mini album, card or tag…. Whatever you heart desires with something on it nautical related...I originally planned on doing a layout but after seeing what their design team did I was just a bit intimidated LOL their layouts are just fabulous! so I decided to make a card I had seen a while back and wanted to give it a try but really had no reason too...I am also entering this card at Get Creative for their anything goes card challenge!

I used the same colors that were in the map for the papers/card stock...

not bad for someone who really doesn't make cards LOL

Gift box with matching card

So I was reading the challenge over at Lessology and its their 2 year Birthday so the challenge this time is all about  Birthday Party! Create anything that could be used in a birthday party - a banner, a party hat or gift boxes. Remember, you can submit any project you want as long as it includes at least one up-cycled item. This challenge fit perfect with the silhouette blog challenge this week which is to Create a new project with your Silhouette, using any shape you've downloaded from the Silhouette online store, including the free shape of the week! I have a abstract butterfly flourish I got from the Silhouette shop and my up-cycled item is Ekobrew container...I've had it for awhile now and just couldn't bring myself to throw it away LOL

this is what I made with it.....a cute little gift box (well its not a box but you know what I mean lol) with mating card

Thank you so much from coming to take a peek!

Just me..

I am really kind of excited to share this page with everyone...one because its of me and I think I've only ever done one layout with me it before. and two I love the way it finally turned out! I used the sketch from C'est Magnifique kits and the inspiration board from Scrap Around the World

I didn't have a circle floral so I kind of used what I had and it happened to be this clock chippy...its been in my stash for sometime now ...I've taken it out a couple times but it just never seemed right...
If you hadn't noticed I was truly inspired by the black and white...I loved the second picture on top, what looked like funky floral around her eyes...I used a couple swirl chipboard pieces that reminded me of it (the ones around the picture)
they were lime green and sparkled but I painted them black

I painted the title chippy then used very fine white glitter and black blue glitter....I LOVE how it turned out!

Serenity

Good evening my scrappy friends.....I wanted to share a page I just finished....I combined two challenges both of then went live this morning.....One is from Inkido -Create a project (card/layout/off-the-page project) that shows lots of layers and use at least one border punch or border die.An the other is from the Flying Unicorn -Called Make a Mess and Clean it Up challenge is to creating your own custom back ground!

I used my favorite picture from the lake at sunset....its always so peaceful at that time of day! I started with background paper from &dots studio and a stencil from crafter's workshop with lots of gesso....then added a pit of paint and water I also used distress stain (rusty hinge)
when the background was finally to my liking I decided to add a some layers and cutouts....plus a border or two lol
thanks for coming to take a peek!
