enjoy-from my day at the Zoo

Good afternoon my scrappy friends....I just wanted to share a layout I just finished..haha the glue on the poor flowers isn't even dry yet but since the sun was shining I had to take the picture...I really wanted to capture the color of the flowers...I'm pretty excited with how they turned out!
I used the sketch from My Creative Sketches...its been quite some time since I've participated in their challenges!

 when I saw the sketch I knew just which picture I wanted to use....this is one of my favorites from the day at the Zoo a couple weeks ago...I even got to pet the giraffe =D it was a great day!

 I used an old My minds eye for the background then dug through my scrap bin for the rest..I didn't want just plain squares so I used my Silhouette to make some really pretty ones and the flowers too...didn't they come out pretty? I will be making these ones again!

The Journey is the destination

This morning I had the pleasure of going on a our Scavenger Birthday Hop over at Lasting Memories...its Karen's Birthday...Btw Happy Birthday Karen! the Design team had some really fabulous projects and some wonderful blog candy is being offered...Each team member picked an element to use on their layout....10 in total and I have to use 5 in my layout for their challenge....here is what I came up with...
I used  chipboard*Washi tape*flowers*diecuts*stamps*button*mist*

I am also entering this layout in the challenge over at 123 Get Scrapping.....

Love walks on the beach

Happy Monday...I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend...mine was a crafty weekend since I was all alone... Anyway ....even though its not my week I still decided to use (as inspiration only not to participate in their challenge) the new sketch that was revealed this morning over at Lets Get Sketchy.....make sure you head over there and check out what the wonderful design team has come up with!

now I had other inspiration for this layout...while I was looking through friends blogs I stumbled upon the ARTastic challenge blog and they had such a cool watercolor for inspiration...Criteria – Raid the kids craft cupboard or pull out those old watercolour pencils you have had forever - let’s try a little paint and water on our page!  If you don't have specific watercolour paints then by all means use the normal variety but please water these down so the look is more wishy washy.

and then over at the New 123 Get scrappy Challenge blog they have a tic tac toe board

Always listen to your heart

Good evening scrappy friends I have a couple of projects I wanted to share.....

first is a layout I made using the sketch from C'est Magnifique kits..I love this sketch....

 I absolutely love this picture of Sam!

the second one is a card I made for one of Sam's friends...she just had a Baby girl so I went looking for some inspiration.....as most of you know I just got a Silhouette portrait and I'm still learning how to get the hang of it...I love the browse their shop and see whats new....or even better what I can make on my own LOL this is one of those I saw a super cute card but I thought I would try to make it myself instead of purchasing it.....
here is what I came up with....

its a little different then the one you can buy but I still love how it turned out! I am entering in the Silhouette shape challenge!

My favorite place

Good afternoon my scrappy friends....I just wanted to share a page I just finished...I used the sketch from Keeping the best

Here is what I came up with...

 I flipped the sketch...I used the beautiful papers from 7 Dots Studio for the background and embellishments,this is the first time I've attempted to make rolled flowers,they came out pretty good...the rest of the layout was made with scraps from my bin.

let the sunshine

I made this layout for the challenge over at That's just so cute...this time its a color challenge which as most of you know I have a really hard time with LOL

 I used a picture from the garden...I love flowers and it just happened to be one of the sunniest days we have had here!

I used the top four colors on the layout and the fifth color is actually the color of the flowers...I'm not sure if you can really tell from the pictures.

Lets go for a ride

Brand new sketch over at Skissedilla (btw thank you Brit for reminding me of the rules I totally flaked)and since I had a bit of time on my hands I thought I would just play a bit....I also used the inspiration picture from ScrapStuffz " Inspired by"

Here is what I came up with.....

  when I first looked at the picture (below) I thought of the beach of course....but I had no inspiration for a beach layout LOL so I decided to use some of the colors....I love the beach chairs....the only color I didn't use was the darn purple....I'm not really a purple person.....the subject of my layout is my best friend...shes a bit strange but I think that's why we get along so well....anyway normally she goes around taking pictures of the kids and pets or flowers for me ...she thought she was being funny when she took a picture of herself taking a picture ( you get what I mean) she never thought I would use it...well haha on her! I might even post it on FB LOL

the Dt's over at Skissedilla always inspire me to try something different and just have fun...this time I pulled out some water colors and stamps that I hadn't even taken out of the package yet...I even did a bit of fussy cutting on some left over packaging..

Family Fun - Lets Get Sketchy reveal

Good afternoon...I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! I know mine just seemed to fly by,actually the whole summer seems to be that way lol....so as you know its already the first Monday in August which means a brand new sketch from Lets Get Sketchy.........

 when I first saw the sketch I was thinking what a great way to use some of my scraps from my scrap bin...but the more I looked at the more I wanted to use my washi tape...as you can see the washi tape won out LOL (btw thank you to the lovely ladies that caught my typo on my page before I posted it ...I am so glad I had you take a look)
