Sea Stacks

Good afternoon all...I wanted to share my latest page....I used another wonderful picture from my penpal, the picture just doesn't do the beauty justice....These ghostly formations are called "Sea Stacks" eroded from the shore on the pacific coast, its also a part of the Olympic National Park. I used the latest sketch from Keeping the best and am also linking up with S.W.A.T for their basic training-playing with mists.
I really love the idea of having script in the background,I know they make stamps but I haven't been able to get my hands on one just yet so I decided to try something a bit different.....if you know me at all I love my photo shop and have a ton of brushes, well one happens to have love letter, postcards and stuff like that ...I used one, made sure to reverse the lettering and printed it onto Parchment Paper(one side is parchment and the other is foil) then I just placed it where I wanted it and rubbed the back and ta da...it gave me just the effect I wanted..the misting was a whole other story LOL

Here is the sketch......

I used a bit of Gesso because I wanted a bit of texture when I misted....

I knew what I wanted but wasn't quit sure how to achieve it...like I said  a bit of gesso, then I used a light metallic blue mist,I sprayed the same spot until there was plenty then just moved the paper so the mist would roll around...I wanted a marble like effect...its trial and error until I got what I wanted....but still ran into a problem....the metallic blue was a bit too shiny for me....I decided to use a golden yellow to tone it down a bit....I waters down the paint and just brushed a bit where I wanted it...it still shiny but not as much LOL

thank you for coming to take a peek,I appreciate all comments, they always bring a much needed smile to my face!
