Here is another card for the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge
to Create your own background...I went with a Christmas theme because the card group I'm in has a weekend challenge this weekend it's Christmas in July...I was also hoping it would cool me off since we're in the middle excessive heat warning :( ha I didn't think how using the heat gun wouldn't help cool me off but it was quick work so it's all good!
yes yes I am playing around with my photos for Instagram...ya know it's about the likes LOL we'll see how it goes It was fun to do anyway and I think the pictures look better..but what do I know I'm a crafter, not a photographer!
thanks for coming by...Hope you have a fabulous weekend!

Missing the beach
I think this is the first beautiful day we've had in a while and it got me thinking I really miss the beach..the lakes here are great but when you were raised near the coast you kind of miss it! I miss walking along the shore...finding seashells and little sea critters!
well, I tried to recreate a beach scene using all the wonderful Hero arts goodies make it pretty easy...the waves stamp and the die cut go together so well...I also used the mermaid waves stencil in the background..what was really fun was the new embossing powders...Sand which really looks like sand without the mess LOL and sparkling sea...I used it on the tips of the waves...
you can find all these supplies and others in the scrapsalot shop
Supplies used from Scrapsalot

Bugaboo Bingo
I would say Happy Monday....but I don't think those exist LOL ... I thought I'd share the card I came up with using the bingo board from catch the bug
we went straight across the top row Sparkle, stitching, sentiment.....them we went on an angle sparkle, 2 images merged and embossing...
let's start with the sparkle and sentiment since they are one in the same LOL I used a Happy Birthday Die from Impressions obsessions, I cute the bottom layer with glitter paper for my sparkle... the two merged images are from Bigaboo stamps, Charlies birthday and candle cake, I thought they went well together I picked out my very bright pattern papers then colored my image to match using colored pencils..my stitching is kind of obvious on th square diecut ...I also used one of my favorite embossing folders, I just love the diamond design!
thanks for stopping by...Hope you have a fabulous week!

LIM Recipe Challenge - Weeks 286 & 287
the challenge over at Less is more is to use something Tactile...while I was cleaning up and trying to organize some of my stash I came upon this fabric flower cut outs (to be honest I have no clue where they even came from LOL) but I thought they would work so I stacked a couple and used a cute brad to hold them together....then I pulled out my new thank you stamp from Unity stamps and heat embossed with white embossing powder....all in all it makes a cute thank you card!

OLS29 Christmas in July
One Layer Simplicity Challenge- Christmas in July
I started by masking off a section to highlight my image and inking around it.....the I used my stamp.....I love this Penguin stamp, its just too cute! I colored him with distress makers...added a bit of glitter to the rim and ball of the hat...I added a couple snowflake stamps which I heat embossed using Holographic embossing powder so they sparkle!
all in all I like how it turned out!

Less is more white on white
I don't think I've ever played along with the challenges over on the less is more blog but I thought I would give it a shot today.
It's a color challenge of course and what we would like to see is
WHITE ON WHITE(Accents in metallic or B/W are perfectly acceptable)
I tried to keep it simple....I'm not sure if I went to far with the flower lace or not!
thank you so much for coming to take a peek!

Artastic June
Did you ever have a picture in your mind of how you want your project to turn out but you just couldn't get it to fit on the paper? yeah well that's my card LOL -here is my take on this months challenger over at Artastic challenge blog
I took inspiration in the wood background and of course the white bird, I wanted to pull all the colors of the inspiration image into my card...I tried with the birdcage but it didn't quit turn out as I imagined..
thanks for coming to take a peek!
