I've had CASology booked marked for quite awhile now but I never had time to play along...So I thought I would give it a shot since I have tons of washi tape and some crafty time....I never think to use it on cards, normally I use it on my scrapbook layouts...

retrosketches #208
I don't normally make square cards (I think I've made two LOL ) I tend to stick with the standard 4.25x5.5 but when I saw the new sketch I thought I'd give it shot! Now I was a bit concerned about using 4 different patterns on my card but I think they all go well together, using the colors tan, blue and white might have helped that along...

Less is more Challenge 268
If you had asked me to look out my window last week my card probably would have been full of spring flowers......but that's not to be....as I look out my windows the last couple of days all I see is ice and snow :( we have had about 3 weeks of beautiful warm weather,I've had my windows open and everything! yesterday I was so disappointed that I had to drag my sweater out because I was cold! Anyway for this weeks challenge over at Less is more its a recipe challenge to show us
What's outside your window.... Well when I look out my window I see bare trees and tiny snow flakes...that's what inspired my card!

Muse Challenge #157
I love Antia's card this week over at Muse challenge blog,I really liked the idea of masking off the center (keeping it white) when I started making this card I had masked off the area I needed but then I had a mishap my mist...haha I kind of dumped it so needless to say my masking wasn't as clean and my misting looked atrocious LOL so I tried to save it by cutting the panel and using a paint brush to move the extra mist around...
it didn't turn out like I planned but I like it!

Scrap Africa Mood Board no.71
here is my take on the new challenger over at Scrap Africa....they have an awesome mood board with some bright orange and blue and the cutest little robot....as you can tell those are the things that caught my eye....I thought those things would make a cute boy card...so that's just what I did...
I just had to create a robot using my silhouette Portrait and make it into a paper piecing of sorts....I think its kind of cute...

Words and Paintery March
Fabulous challenger over at Words and Paintery they are celebrating the words of Marilyn Monroe....so of course the colors are a bit girly....
"Nothing lasts forever. So live it up,drink it down, laugh it off, avoid drama, take chances and never have any regrets because at one point everything you did was exactly what you wanted." Marilyn Monroe
the only thing I knew for certain at the beginning of this card was the stamped sentiment I wanted to use...my daughter gave it to me awhile back and I thought it kind of fit what Marilyn was saying....as for the colors I had no clue....I'm not the best with colors and my go to person for bouncing ideas has moved out :( (my daughter) so I was on my own...I'll admit I was shocked when I uploaded the photo and looked at the inspiration photo side by side...haha I got the colors without even realizing it! anyway I went through my stash and pulled out a couple bits I thought might work...the only pattern paper I found that would fit what I wanted was a piece of scrap (which I used a border punch on) all the rest is mists and inks...I just kept messing with the combos until I liked them...

Pixels and Paper march
I decided to play along with the march challenge over at Pixels and Paper....normally I am all about the paper layouts but lately I've been playing around with digital designs and different elements...anyway I was inspired by the coffee and since I have an abnormal coffee addiction hehe my family doesn't even talk to me until after my second cup! Oh and I also have a small coffee cup collection...they kind of go hand and hand...

Week 267 One Layer Sentiment
So I had what I thought was a good idea for this challenge over at Less is more....lets just say it didn't quite turn out the way I saw it in my head lol...
anyway I wanted to make a thank you card with a big bold thanks on the front of the card,I cut out a a thanks to use as a mask and sponged around it with some ink...so far so good I liked it....then I used the flat end of a skewer dripped in paint to go around the masking again :( it did turn out how I pictured it.....it looks so messy .... but its how we learn LOL
So I took my idea in a different direction same thanks and out lining but I used my silhouette pens instead and I think this makes a cute thank you note card

Muse Challenge #156
here is my take on the newest Muse challenge.....I really liked the technique Michele used on her card...I've seen it before but never knew it was called Camouflaging Die Cuts so I couldn't even look up how it was done until now ....so as you can see I had to try it out.....I don't own too many dies so I was limited and Michele wanted us to make a thank you card...
I wanted to keep it real simple since it was a new technique for me....I'll admit I was lucky I didn't toss the left over bits of the die cut (you know like in between the t and h)...I hadn't realize I had to add those back in at the end to make it look right ..
Here's this week's Muse: Michele Ferguson

less is more CITRUS
This weeks challenge over at less is more is a color challenge "CITRUS" now you didn't need to use fruit but I thought it would be cute and I truly thought I had a stamp for it LOL but I was wrong.....but since I had fruit on the brain I had to figure something out so I created my own version of lemon, lime and an orange on my silhouette and just cut them out and pieced together....

City Crafters Challenge Blog...this weeks challenge is all about the elephant LOL well you just needed to have an elephant on your project.....
thanks for coming to take a peek!
I decided to combine this challenge with the challenge over at Silhouette Challenges #35 "Anything Goes"
I didn't have an elephant so I created one on my silhouette,I think they turned out really cute for using basic shapes.
