Caffeinated shark atc
So I'm taking a break from the holiday cards LOL I feel like this shark looks... this is an awesome stamp set from the rabbit hole design, I've never used any of their items until now and I love the quality of these stamps and they are a bit snarky LOL
I am a coffee fiend, I truly don't even speak until I have my first cup of coffee...yeah it's that bad LOL
I started by stamping and cutting out my image (scan and cut) did a quick coloring with some alcohol markers, nothing fancy just Ohuhu markers then I wanted to start layers some color on my background...I used a bunch of distress oxides (listed below) and a cute stencil from hero arts... at this point, something was missing..you know you stare at your project...I decided the shark would need a bit of a shadow...still not sure if that's what was missing but that's what I added...I pulled a few sequins to look like bubbles and voilà its all done
Products used from Scrapsalot Shop
Distress oxides- Faded jeans, tumbled glass, blueprint sketch, and broken china Oh and black soot
Archival ink -Jet black
Blending brush
Lawn fawn stamp shammy
Hero arts mermaid sea waves stencil
Catherine Pooler sequins mix Springfield

I decided to make an ATC, for those who don't already know an ATC stands for artist trading card... you swap these with other artists ( Kind of like baseball cards LOL ) they normally measure 3 1/2 by 2 1/2 inchesI started by stamping and cutting out my image (scan and cut) did a quick coloring with some alcohol markers, nothing fancy just Ohuhu markers then I wanted to start layers some color on my background...I used a bunch of distress oxides (listed below) and a cute stencil from hero arts... at this point, something was missing..you know you stare at your project...I decided the shark would need a bit of a shadow...still not sure if that's what was missing but that's what I added...I pulled a few sequins to look like bubbles and voilà its all done

quick 3x3 Christmas cards
This year I made a few 3x3 cards to add to a small gift in place of a tag... here is just one design... I used the cute stamp set from Lawn Fawn HoHo holidays I love the cute Santa in this set!
This stamp set and all the inks used on the card can be found at Scrapsalot Shop
to make my life easier I stamped all my images and scanned them to my silhouette portrait to be cut out (scan and cut cheapo version LOL) so I have a stack of images to choose from and it helps when you need that extra card
here is a sample of what I was talking about...I normally have just a couple but I did these for special Christmas cards I'm making with a friend so I was trying to get ahead of the game LOL as I was saying I'll keep at least one set in the back of the stamp set ready to go.

Pop up box card
I wanted to make a special Christmas card for my best friend this year so I thought why not try a Pop-up box card...I did some research to find a template that would make one that fits an A2 style card.
now if you follow me at all you know my measurements are always off LOL whats that saying measure twice cut once? well even that doesn't work here ...I just stink with any kind of numbers anyway here is what I came up with...
I used the new set from Lawn fawn HoHo Holidays you can find that set at Scrapsalot they carry all your crafting needs and if you can't find it just send a message to Debra and she'll help you out!
I think this one will just be my prototype LOL I did mess up some measurements on the inside pieces so they sit a little funny but it looks adorable sitting next to my small Christmas tree 😁

this does fold flat and fit into a normal envelope for an A2 size card

Holly Jolly- More Christmas cards
I'm working on more Christmas cards.. this time I used a bunch of crafty goodness from Scrapsalotllc.com. Debra (owner of scrapsalot) sent me a bit of flock in each color she had, at first I wasn't sure what to do with it besides pet it lol but then I remember a cut die I had from Penny black. I di cut the mitten, bow and candy cane out of some flock I love the dimension it gives and also the feel 😁
now for the really fun part...I took the new Holly confetti de die from Hero Arts and made a paper stencil...yes I could have just used the die but I was going for a different feel. I used a couple different green and red distress oxides! I totally love how it turned out.
since I couldn't find the right shade of green for my matte layer I used the same green distress oxides and just kind of swiped the edge it looks random and a bit distressed
I hope you'll head on over to the Scrapsalot Shop and see what Debra has to offer!

Hello Friend
Good day my crafty friends, today I wanted to share a card I designed for Scrapsalotllc.com I used this awesome Waffle flower stamp set called peony dreams ...now I did post a photo of the whole set, and it's beautiful but I decided to only use a partial leaf and the butterfly/moth for my card...I kind of wanted it to feel open and airy!
I used vera mark and white heat embossed my images, colored them with Prismacolor pencils then masked them off so I could do a bit of ink blending in the background. for that, I used painters tape to mask off my images and ink oxides for my blending inks...a blending brush works well for this....I can keep it nice and light but well blended. I matted my panel with black than white to make it really pop added that to a standard 5.5 and 4.25 card panel, I used a piece of the honey bee stamps over the rainbow pattern paper pack...it matched my greens nicely...I added a simple sentiment which is also from the same stamp set...I used Catherine Pooler ink...popped it up on some dimensional foam and we're done!

Cosplay-More Than Words Challenge
This Month's challenge at More than Words made me laugh because as soon as I read the word Costume my daughter came to mind, she's really into cosplay...she designs and make all of her own costumes and in the last couple of years she's done commissions to make other peoples costumes which I think is super cool of course I'm her mother so I think she's super talented LOL So that's how I used the word costume...I used this awesome photo of my daughter in one of her costumes...the black background(since I wanted this done in my journal) I used textured black cardstock and adhered it right onto my journal page!
Distress oxide inks, sprays and Nuvo glimmer paste, Radiant stencil all came from the Scrapslot shop
all in all, I am super happy with how this turned out, I love the splatters and the colors...
to start my background I used gesso on top of the black, then some texture paste and mandala stencil on top of that I decided on another stencil called Radiant with some Nuvo glimmer paste (Tanzanite Lavender) I let that dry a bit haha coffee break...I pulled out both my distress oxide spray and ink in peacock feather I'm pretty sure that my favorite color in oxides!
Word Inspiration - COSTUME
Creative Challenge - BLACK BACKGROUND
Now comes the hard part for me...I really suck at the layering...this one was as hard as I thought it would be but I kind of planned everything around the photo and matched the pattern paper under it LOLCreative Challenge - BLACK BACKGROUND

Bugaboo Bingo
I haven't had a whole lot of time to play along with the challenge over at Catch the bug challenge blog but I finally found some time! 😁
Its time for Bugaboo Bingo!!
I went with Gem, washi tape and bugaboo image....but I could also do Sentimen, sparkle and bugaboo image LOL I swear this Unicorn is one of my favorite Bugaboo images I own!
I decided to create my own background using a stencil (Honey bee stamps Radiant stencil) and some distress oxides (Tattered rose, dusty concord and mermaid lagoon) after I used one color I shifted the stencil slightly and used a different color...those supplies can be found at Scrapsalotllc.com ...I love how this turned out!

Atcoins
Hello crafty friends, I had no intentions of posting today LOL but I was up late last night crafting away...get some swaps ready for next month when I finished this cute ATcoin (you know an ATC just a circle LOL) and I had to share...Of course, this post will be for Scrapsalotllc.com because all the items used were from that store 😁
First, we started off with a 2.5-inch circle...I inked it using distress oxides I wanted a beachy scene since I knew I was going to use the on the beach stamp set from lawn fawn so I used (bottom to top) Gathered twigs, mermaid lagoon, tumbled glass and finally broken china...it gave it a nostalgia feel
I'm not sure about you but I always stamp off a couple images to color and then put the extra back in with the stamps....so these were already colored I just needed to add them to my coin...
I stamped the word relaxing and added a couple birds free hand (lol) and tada we are finished...I swear this was the fastest project ever ...now I just need to make 3 more for the swap set!
You can find Lawn Fawn stamps and distress ink at Scrapsalotllc.com she has everything for your paper crafting needs!

Fall Latte
Good day my crafty friends...I wasn't too sure where I was going with this card, I just knew I wanted to make a card with Fal colors...see I was lucky enough to get a bunch of distress oxides recently from a really good friend and I wanted to play with all the new colors! Let me tell you it was easier to choose colors when it was limited LOL but I picked Mowed lawn, fossilized amber, carved pumpkin, fired brick I figured they would give me the perfect Fall color combo...
So I hand stamped the background it didn't need to be exact the four little symbols on the stamp seemed to line up pretty well, as I said I used gold pigment ink but I embossed it with bronze embossing powder, I did the same with the sentiment...you can't really tell in the photos but it came out really pretty and kind of rustic looking...here is where my card took another turn, I was thinking colored die-cut leaves but as I was looking for a paper to use in the background (haha yes for my background background) I found these awesome papers I received from Scrapsalot as part the design team package and fell in love all over again LOL the colors are all fall...fall lead to latte which in turn lead to the cute stamp set from ink on 3 called Raccoon hugs....hey it could be pumpkin latte 🎃 haha
So if you stuck with me so far bless you! you have some patients! So as you can see from the photos we end up with a Raccoon with a pumpkin Latte and we love you! LOL ❤ as you can read this is me...I talk all at once and interrupt myself because if I don't say it when I think it I forget LOL I tend to craft the same way...I'll be in the middle of making a card and all of a sudden I'll have this awesome idea so now I have to try that...haha its a wonder I get any of them done!

the starting idea was to heat emboss leaves onto my background, I hit a wall I ran out of versamark just not my day LOLI thought I would try it with white pigment ink 😢 for some reason my white didn't work but I did find a super old gold pigment ink and it worked alright but I changed my mind on the leaves by then LOL- this is how I craft and talk- all scattered everywhere LOL I saw this little pattern stamp that I thought would look cute insteadSo I hand stamped the background it didn't need to be exact the four little symbols on the stamp seemed to line up pretty well, as I said I used gold pigment ink but I embossed it with bronze embossing powder, I did the same with the sentiment...you can't really tell in the photos but it came out really pretty and kind of rustic looking...here is where my card took another turn, I was thinking colored die-cut leaves but as I was looking for a paper to use in the background (haha yes for my background background) I found these awesome papers I received from Scrapsalot as part the design team package and fell in love all over again LOL the colors are all fall...fall lead to latte which in turn lead to the cute stamp set from ink on 3 called Raccoon hugs....hey it could be pumpkin latte 🎃 haha
