abundance of joy

Today I want to share a card I made using the hero arts vineyard heroscapes and hero art grape vine fancy frame...I can't take credit for the card design, I saw it on pinterest I think and I'm sure it was a design team member of hero arts that made the card I saw....

all supplies can be found at Scrapsalot -Inks Dies-Stamps

I used ink oxides to water color the fancy frame, twisted citron, mowed lawn, dusty concord and seedless preserves and finally gathered twigs...I cut multiple frames one in white and three in black..I stacked them to give it nice dimension up close it has a shadow effect I love it!

I used a combination of different inks for the vineyard scene the first two layers are Catherine Pooler inks, lime rickey and grass skirt the third layer and the trees and houses are archival inks peeled paint and watering can Jet black for the sentiment...the final layer on the vineyard is the tiny grape layer I used wilted violets I think next time I will use a brighter color so they stand out more!

I really love how this card turned out ...and the layering stamps were very easy to line up even with my horrible eye sight LOL

thanks for stopping by...make sure you stop by Scrapsalot there is a little something for all your crafty needs!

I was a little shocked when I opened my Design team package from Scrapsalot and saw layering stamps...I'll be the first to admit I didn't have the best of luck lining up the ones I already owned but turns out I love the heroscapes from hero arts and I think this one is going to be my favorite...this set of layering stamps is pretty easy to line up even with my horrible eye sight LOL

It has all these really nice element that can be use individual or all together!

I adore the surfers and the little birds...I can see using them a lot! I will admit the more I practice the easier it gets.

all supplies used to make this card (except card base) came from Scrapsalot make sure you go check it out, Debra has a little bit of everything and if you don't see it just email her and she'll do her best to help you out!

Old time Jukebox

I was super excited when I received this set of stamps It's from Sugar Peas and its called Jukebox Jive...hehe how awesome is that!
all stamps and inks can be found at the scrapsalot shop Debra has a little bit of everything...

I'll apologize right now I took a tin of photos...I was trying to get the sparkle of the gel pens that I used to make it look like metal, they were metallic and sparkly LOL

I thought this Jukebox would look awesome on a surprise pop-up card

the top sentiment is from a Honey bee's set called for the record they blend perfectly with the sugar peas stamp set
I can see using this set a whole lot...there are so so many options and its great for masculine cards too
Thanks for stopping by and checking out my latest project, make sure you swing by scrapsalot and see what she has to offer. Have a wonderful week and stay safe and Healthy!

keeping distracted

So I'm trying to distract myself...when I get stressed I tend to clean normally that's not a bad thing but when you think you broke the water heater from using too much Hot water you know it's time to cut back LOL

So instead I took it in the opposite direction and I made a crafty mess...I pulled out a couple colors that I love Peacock feathers and wilted violet...I used both distress oxide inks and sprays (both you can get from Scrapsalot shop) on these pretty tags

there was a whole lot of layering going on here...paper gesso texture paste ink sprays some more inks more paper then some embellishments...
when I first got the word board die-cut set I really had no idea what I was going to do with it other than a word board but I seem to use their alphabet die a whole lot...it comes in quite handy!
I entered this one in the challenge over at More than Words

thanks for coming by and checking out my new tags...stay safe and distracted!

Faux watercolor background

I had a swap this month which required a watercolored background so I thought I would use some of my awesome supplies from Scrapsalot all inks and stamps are from there...make sure you stop by scrapsalot and check out what paper crafting supplies she has to offer!

I used plain white #110 lbs card stock (which is flimsy when using lots of water lol but I managed to flatten it out after it dried with some heavy books) I picked my two favorite colors peacock feathers and wilted violet distress oxide sprays.
I put a Lil bit of the spray on my craft mat (one at a time)added a bit of water then smushed my paper into the color. I alternated colors (drying in between each color) until I had a background I was happy with...now I did four panels and each one came out a little different.
I pulled out this beautiful peony dreams stamp set from waffle flower...I thought it would be perfect for this card...
I thought added a bit of a black border would make this panel pop...I finished this card off with a couple enamel dots also from waffle flower

My heart is yours-Happy Valentines day

Happy Valentine's day everyone

I have one last card to share for Valentine's day well I guess you could use it for other things. It's truly the simplest card I've made in a long time and most would consider it clean and simple (sometimes those are the best)

Inks, stamps, and heart die are from Scrapsalot shop
I love the heart prints stamp set from Sugar peas design it had some really cute heats and sentiments, Of course, the imprint one is my favorite. Like I said earlier it's super simple stamped the heart and die cut using the simple heart die from Sugar peas then framed it with two squares with a sentiment under it!

I adore you-Valentine fun

I've been trying to come up with the perfect Valentine for my husband...I don't think this one is it LOL but I'm getting closer...maybe not so much pink! But I do love how this one turned out and it was so unexpected...

see I was playing with some Nuvo shimmer powders (making funky backgrounds) then I remembered seeing someone stamp using the shimmer powders and I thought cool let's try that ...haha that's how it always starts... I used my new stamp set from Sugar pea called heart prints and the simple heart die from them also. I sprinkled (tapped) some powder onto the stamp and then spritzed with water (I should have stamped the first time on scratch paper but live and learn) after the first impression I used my water brush to make sure the pigment/powder/ink was on the right part of the stamp I will say a little powder goes a long way I never added more just kept using the water brush to move it around

all items (except cardstock) used on this card came from Scrapsalot - she carries a little bit of everything from simple scrapbooking all the way to Mixed media!

I randomly stamped my background...yes I had to say that and I strategically place that panel over a spot that had a big void LOLI picked the sentiment I adore you from the same set...as you can see some of them are cockeyed but that's what I love about handmade items nothing is perfect!

quick 3x3 Christmas cards

This year I made a few 3x3 cards to add to a small gift in place of a tag... here is just one design... I used the cute stamp set from Lawn Fawn HoHo holidays I love the cute Santa in this set!
This stamp set and all the inks used on the card can be found at Scrapsalot Shop

to make my life easier I stamped all my images and scanned them to my silhouette portrait to be cut out (scan and cut cheapo version LOL) so I have a stack of images to choose from and it helps when you need that extra card
here is a sample of what I was talking about...I normally have just a couple but I did these for special Christmas cards I'm making with a friend so I was trying to get ahead of the game LOL as I was saying I'll keep at least one set in the back of the stamp set ready to go.

Perk you up!

Good afternoon my crafty friends.... It's time to share my some coffee LOL

Both the sentiment and background stamps can be found at Scrapsalotllc.com use the code Buffy10 to get 10% off your order!!

Now on to my project... I used this awesome background stamp from The Ink roads  it has all different coffee's and coffee saying on it...like "death before decaf" my personal favorite LOL  I stamped on plain white cardstock with Versa Mark ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder!
I wanted to make sure it was covered well so It would resist the distress ink I was going to add...
I used distress inks (antique linen and vintage photo )to blend my background. I love using distress inks, there is no right or wrong it's all about what you like and I just happened to like this look so I stopped LOL I created the travel coffee on my Sihouette portrait... It's amazing what you can create with some simple shapes and the welding tool! the coffee cozy was just lined up and cut by hand then used a small heart die to cut the shape ...
Now for the awesome sentiment, I used Archival inks (Jet black and potting soil) and a fabulous stamp set from Honey bee stamps called shake it off...lots and lots of coffee related sentiments with some mix and match...yes yes there is tea related too LOL
Don't forget to use the code Buffy10 for 10% off your order!!

Layering stamps Hibiscus

I am so in love with this stamp set from Sunny Studio It's called Hawaiian Hibiscus and I got it from Scrapsalotllc.com
they look so beautiful...I had to experiment and practice LOL lots of eyeglasses on and off trying to line things up but after a couple tries it was easy when you figured out what you were looking for!

So after quite a bit of practicing It was finally time to try and make a card...which meant masking so I could layer my flowers...
I wasn't sure about my leaf placement but they look pretty good on my final card, I started with the idea of one layer but the colors I used blended the flowers together and you really couldn't separate them so I stamped another one and fussy cut and popped it on some foam tape. I used this awesome sentiment from Altenew it's from their set called reason to smile...It's one of my favorite sentiment stamp sets! you can also pick that up at Scrapsalotllc.com

thank you so much for stopping by!
